very helpful, I wasn't thinking when I first cut the hole and traced the outside of the bracket. Silly me, wish i would have seen this first. Thx

if you've got a drill, drilling holes the corners makes getting the saw in way easier

Can you connect a different type of a more open type of wall plate that will connect to the bracket for multiple low voltage cables?

It would have been more helpful if you had shown the reverse side as well to gauge how much the tabs stick out at the back as I could not find any specification for this.

It does not fit that easy. I install a lot of them. 95 % of the time I have to cut the hole a few Millimeters all around the perimeter just a have the insert fit.

I wondered about that. I read the instructions for a Data Comm Electronics bracket and it also said to trace around the inside. I can't possibly see how that alone would lead to a fit.

Same thing for the ones I ordered and I thought it was completely illogical and couldn't possibly work. So I came here to see an example of someone doing just that and instead, I find this video where he's actually going maybe a 1/8 inch bigger on all sides.
