Keep these mach 1 videos coming in strong. You are leading the pack on new mach 1 mods and enthusiast videos. I'm a Mech E grad and have my 22 mach 1 build date in 2 weeks. Cannot wait. Your videos are keeping my addiction fed til she comes in

@@truckandroll989 Mach 1 is fun, but it needs a little extra HP in my opinion to be a 350 competitor.

Did you reinstall the stock primary chain guides? Do see any advantage to installing an aftermarket aluminum chain guides with the big horsepower motor? Thank you.
@truckandroll989Күн бұрын
@@donaldprosser1763 as my motor only had around 3k miles i just went back in with stock. So far ive had no issues but the car was rarely driven on the highest horsepower setting for any length of time. On stuff like I typically stick with OEM unless it’s a known failure point that is well documented. If you search online That Racing Channel there are some great videos with Jay that go through what survives and what doesnt on super high horsepower Coyotes.

@truckandroll989 I will definitely watch those videos. Really enjoy your channel. I am also considering the MMR driver side chain tensioner flip, makes sense with regards to the engine rotation. Any thoughts ? Thanks again !!

@@truckandroll989 The Real Street guys are very good. Watching in detail, they did flip the driver's side secondary timing chain tensioner. Thank you for the help here. We are preping for an ordered Whipple 3.0. Will be a fun project.

Great stuff! How did you remove rtv on oilpan and apply new? Hard to get in there and afraid old rtv crap will fall in the pan!
@truckandroll9898 ай бұрын
Honestly, it is not easy and it is tedious. Be very careful that you have removed all the rtv and watch where it goes. It just takes time and patience since you aren’t dropping whole pan. Id change oil when you are done as well.
@dank64088 ай бұрын
Thanks! On it atm, you did it like this as well or dropped k-member & pan? Guessing you mean replace oil after couple of 100 miles as no oil in the system now:) thanks again.
@truckandroll9898 ай бұрын
@@dank6408 i did not drop k member and only loosened pan to drop front for access. Yes, not a bad idea to do an oil change not soon thereafter.
@dank64088 ай бұрын
Awesome- thx! Last question if I may- you rtv’d the front of the pan and tightened pan bolts and then went on doing chains and reinstalling timing cover with rtv in the corner where the cover meets block & pan?
@truckandroll9898 ай бұрын
@@dank6408 i want to say I waited to do the RTV until i was ready to reinstall the front timing cover and then torqued it all back up so I could see between the timing cover and pain/block surfaces

what you failed to mention with wobble extensions .. if you use an impact gun with wobble extension you are putting your life at risk, forget using safety glasses or goggles your gonna need an iron man suit to protect you because that thing is going to go through sheet metal and door skins and everything and everyone in the shop is in danger when some dumb ass reaches for an impact gun with a wobble extension. same goes for universal extension.
@truckandroll9892 жыл бұрын
Eh I feel like you are exaggerating a bit. If you snap an extension or socket most likely the impact spins for a second and that is it. Its not going to send shrapnel pieces into the air any different than snapping a socket using a cheater bar on a ratchet. I dont quite see the danger you mention. Maybe if you are using an air socket on some massive bolts/nuts but anything for this job is pretty small comparatively.
@mathewhoffer45412 жыл бұрын
@@truckandroll989 apparently you never worked in a large dealership with teenagers that are apprentices and routinely do stupid shit because they do not know any better and reach for a wobble extension to clear an obstacle as well as a impact gun because they are in a hurry .. and then see what the aftermath of this stupid idea is .. no I did not exaggerate
