Yup, Hair spray helps the clamping force on the couplers. Haven’t use that trick for a min. You can also build a boost leak tester and use soapy water to find any other boost leaks. Plan on following the Colt mod list this spring! So appreciate the uploads, Busssschhhhh!

Just for future reference, a set of good 1/4" metric wobbly sockets (the kind where the socket is permanently fixed to the joint and by good I mean SnapOn or Matco), a set of 1/4" wobbly extensions in various lengths, a flex head 1/4" ratchet with a 4-6 inch long handle, and a Milwaukee electric ratchet all together make working on these engines a breeze. If you plan to keep your truck and continue to work on it then investing in those semi-specialty tools will make your life much more pleasant. With those tools and a little practice you can have the upper and lower intake plenums removed in 5-10 minutes. They're expensive but your knuckles will thank you.

I know it’s late , but when I was building my 7.3’s, any time I took the Air pipes off, I wipe the pipe and the couplers off with acetone on a microfiber rag to get rid of all the oil residues so the don’t slip off. It works for me

The boost leak is probably coming from the o ring inside the pipe that you had to use the factory boot on. You might need a new o ring. Mine did the same thing when I took that pipe off and it sounds like a balloon leaking like that

On my 2019 f250 6 months after my piping kit install i get a small belt chirp, i replaced the belt and idlers pulleys and it still does it but less now. So i did a bunch of research and read alot of forums and i guess its perfectly normal after a piping kit install, theres no lag on shut off now just and instant shut off cause a small "chirp"

Just a couple of suggestions. USE THE DAMN SILICONE SPRAY!!! The spray makes it so much easier to slide your connections together and when it dries, it seems to have a sealing effect and you won't have to use the damn hairspray. I'm confused why the manufacturer didn't just make the intake a single piece Y pipe instead of using a short pipe and coupler. As we've discussed before, I did it all at once. I did the repipe, the EGR delete, the CCV delete, the coolant system reroute AND a fuel system disaster kit all at the same time. It was a two day job, but it was much more efficient. For instance, I only had to drain the coolant once and the disaster kit is a breeze to install without all that piping in the way. I dont know what kind of tune you are using, but EZLYNK has a very fuel efficient tune for the SOTF tuner that's a lot less smokey and gives you just as much power. Now if you really want to hear something cool, put a 10K trailer on there, turn on your automatic engine brake and set your cruise control to 60mph on a long 6% grade. Tom: what’s the tune from Ezlynk? I’ve set the Soft switch but I disconnected after a while cause I couldn’t get a worthy fuel efficient tune. Now I’m running a 0 hp and a transmission flash with a 3rd lock that seems to have a good balance between power and fast acceleration. I’d appreciate it if you can give me that info. Did you have any issues with the hot side charge pipe? After installing my kit, the new pipe in the old coupling where it goes into the turbo is coming loose and isn’t blowing off but it wants to come out of the coupling.

Kit is fantastic! Don’t have any issues at all. I only had that one boost leak after the install, but that’s common. Usually gonna have one and just adjust the boot! 🇺🇸🦅🇺🇸

Air filter tube off the turbo is your main issue. The battery is in a different spot and will not line up. Pretty sure CAC tube is also different diameter from 3" on 11-16 and 2.5 on 17+

Most all the tunes are pretty clean joe a days. You will always have some. People that have a lot of smoke are prob running LBF files ( low boost fuel) and that’s causes a lot of smoke. 🇺🇸🦅🇺🇸
