Thanks! That was a very well filmed, paced and enjoyable video. Great job. Thanks again.

Excellent explanation of how to bleed the brakes. Curious why you did not use a dial indicator to check lateral runoff?

This is the brake upgrade I want to install for my WJ. Just installed Skyjacker 8000s, much better than the bone stock shocks.
@DC5nuT3 жыл бұрын
Pro tip. You can have someone keep the brake pedal pressed down while you swap lines so you don’t loose so much fluid. Good vid!
@ATEMOFFROAD3 жыл бұрын
You are 💯 right bro! It’s always nice to have an assistant! That’s how I did the flush, but then I found This “one man bleeder” so it allows it to be done solo. Thought I’d do a demo in it lol thanks for watching

This would have been a great time to upgrade the brake lines to stainless
@Dr_Kenneth_Noisewater Жыл бұрын
One of the kits comes with stainless replacement lines. For my 2006 TJ Rubi, it was the KCH1131436 kit - orderd from Rock Auto. Comes with 4 rotors and calipers, pads and stainless lines. Haven’t installed it yet tho.

Thats a sexy brake kit. Ive been looking at doing the Power Stop kit for my JKU. My Jeep has gotten pretty fat and heavy over the past few years and I need some extra stopping power.

@ATEM OFFROAD curious how these brakes have been since installing them? Have you had any issues? I've heard of a few complaints about rocks and gunk building up in the rotor holes.

Did your kit come with a bag of rubber gaskets & rubber caliper bolt covers. My kit looked totally assembled. I did chance the crush gaskets from the brake line. Just not sure what to do with all the extra gaskets. Or are they just spares for future replacements??? Great video tho. Thanks.
@ATEMOFFROAD2 жыл бұрын
No my kit came already to bolt on maybe they sent you a rebuild kit . No extra parts in my end

@ATEMOFFROAD3 жыл бұрын
Absolutely amazing! Can’t believe it’s been that long , seems like yesterday! Have had to make some very sudden stops recently and still stopping on the dime! I’m sure the radar tires have a lot to do with that ! But yes it’s been good still. Thanks for watching 🍻

How does that skyjacker lift ride
@ATEMOFFROAD3 жыл бұрын
💥 thanks for checking in, video coming real soon , I’ve been working a ton very busy! Hoping to have an install video by Wednesday and we just did the shakedown last weekend, everything still in tack , rig feels kinda stiff on the road side for dual rate springs, but once the sway bar is disconnected and Jeep in 4lo the suspension totally wakes up ! So far so good 👍🏼

Hi c gonzo, it’s been awhile bro! Glad to see you back. So far lift is good to go , getting ready for an off road trip here soon , I used the trans drop down spacers temporarily until we get the money up for the sye kit and cardon shaft. so I’m a little worried on the drive shaft angles , will see how it does like this for now. But haven’t felt any major vibs yet and those tires looking pretty small haha, definitely sit higher if that answers your question! Thanks for watching

Two months after I purchased the Power Stop brake kit my right rear caliper failed and began leaking brake fluid. After waiting three weeks for the part, they now tell me the ETA is over a month away. This really sucks. I now have to buy and install a temporary generic caliper while I wait for the Power Stop caliper. Don't do it. Right Rear Leak TT797144
