In this week's video, I go over how to jump your mountain bike. Jumping is something I have really struggled with so I hope these tips on technique and commitment help you out! The new BMX track at Crestwood in Turon Reserve is sick too!

I have the opposite problem, I always try to send everything and come in full hot. I need to learn to not go so fast all of the time. Hopefully you make a video on slowing down and not over committing😜 Nice video man🚵‍♂️

Nice and humble mate good work. Jumping is something i've always lacked confidence in. I found that I'd always look down at my landing or the takeoff and then I'd just get all crooked and out of whack. More practice to be had.

From a Californians view, it's really cool to see how the blokes and the kiwis got so into mountain biking. Like they're more into it than we are and I respect the shot out of that

Nice video!! Man I can’t believe what they’ve done with this track (and that it still exists). This was the first bmx track I ever hit when I was 6 years old, lived 5 mins from there. Riding a vintage Malvern Star circa 1988… this was the first time I got air on a bike, stacked it as I didn’t know I was going to get airborne and barely strong enough to make it up to table part of the first table top. Of course, the track was much rougher back then.. just a dirt patch with a few dirt mounds. Thanks for the nostalgia 👌👌

My biggest problem with any and all jumps is the pop. I have no commitment issues as I've said "f@#! It I'll just send it" to almost every scary jump I've ever wanted to hit and it usually works out ok enough but I never get the height I want.

Are those 38 mm rise bars? Do you prefer a lot of rise?
@trailtalkmtb6603
@trailtalkmtb6603 3 жыл бұрын
Yes they are! I'm used to riding a bike with a 25mm rise, 630mm stack height and 20mm of spacers under the stem. There Siskiu T has a 620mm stack so the 38mm with 20mm under the stem puts me in a similar position I'm used to :)
