Please consider doing more videos helping Filipinas to understand western men better and videos helping them challenge and overcome toxic Filipino cultural issues. I am not asking you to turn them into westerners.. We need to meet in the middle. There are so many vloggers that help foreigners understand the Philippines. Filipinas are left in the cold with little advice like this video helping them achieve true love. Salamat kaayo

You got the right idea, but the easiest way to enact those kinds of changes is through trust and teaching at the couples level. It hits harder and deeper when you can be the change you want to see in others.

Great video. I have not seen much advice for Filipinas. I would add these two: 1) Don't be on your phone when with him, like being late, that will be viewed as rude and that you are not interested. 2) don't treat him as an ATM.

The most important thing to keep your foreign guy is to realize that he's probably with you because women from his own Western country were unfaithful, money-hungry, needy shrews. This means that you need to not make him see you as like them. Don't play games to make him jealous. Don't seem to only care about his money (or what he can buy you), or about getting a green card. Don't make him feel that you're only with him so that he can solve your problems. Take him into your life, don't keep secrets -- let him know your heart. While there are some guys who are scumbags, most only want to know that they are the man being looked up to by the girl who he puts on a pedestal in his own eyes.

I know the video was for the girls but you are spot on with your topics. I was raised by a military father and I was military too. I was taught that early was on time, on time was late, and late was just unacceptable. I have eased a little over the years with that but if you tell me we are meeting at a restobar at 8PM, I am going to be there at 7:45. So when you are 30 minutes late I have been waiting almost an hour. Lastly, a smile and laughter are two of the most valuable things a woman has. Almost everything a man does for a woman is to please her and when you pout or Tampo we feel we are failing. Men will not stay in a relationship like that for long no matter how young and good-looking you are. Even if you are the greatest lover he has ever know he won't stay if you are not happy. I guess I mean real men like me.

I'm 61 and have a gorgeous Thai girlfriend, 30, who is wonderful. My advice: don't look to him for anything more than you would look to a Filipino for. The minute he senses you are into him for his money, he'll be gone. Or if not gone right away, he will have decided you are not a long-term partner. Also, whatever he finds particularly attractive about you, be sure you don't change that attribute. Be the same person he fell in love with. So don't put on weight, be less into physical intimacy, become more bossy, etc. After all, you should have been your most natural self from day one, shouldn't you? So, this shouldn't be a challenge if you've been honest all along.

Dear Mia. Many good points in your vlog. They are all important, but for me "Give him space" is probably the one that will make or break it. After almost 20 years of marriage in the west, the last 10 not very happy, with a lot of alone time, and followed by 5 years of single, I have as an almost 50 year old man, become very used to spending time by myself. I have since dated a Thai and Filipina women in their 30ties, and the they were great and sweet, but both did not understand that I needed to go on business trips often with my job (I never played around), but mostly they did not understand that I would often like to watch a football game or working in my office at home, rather than talking all evening. I was very careful not to fall in love with a 20 year old girl, because she should/would never understand this. But since these women were "only" 10-15 years younger than me, I had hoped we could become real soulmates for life. We would always spend time together in the morning for breakfast and for dinner (I like to cook), and in the weekend go out, and in vacation go on trips. But it was the daily life where they did not understand that I needed alone time. Maybe it is me, and maybe I should just live alone and forget the dream of a soulmate for life. For all the men out there - treat your Filipina right. They are so loving and caring and it is really admirable, but if they sometimes can scale their affection down I think it would help - a horrible thing to say, and it surely does not resonate to all men - maybe just for the cold Scandinavian ones like me :-))

The quickest ways to lose a foreigner are: 1. Always being late, ESPECIALLY the very first meeting 2. Tampo 3. Drama Do these things ladies and watch your foreigner move on to someone else! In other words, many Filipinas have ALOT to learn still.

Yeah I agree but beeing late isnt that big issue as tampo or drama. In any case women are similar are over the world. Ive got expirience with German, Eastern European and Asian. The advantage for us with Asian is that they have to behave better as there is a huge competition. 😀
@martin36959

Being a little late one has to adapt and accept it to be normal. But being very late always definitely is a no no as we westerners will think the girl we date does not care about us and is unreliable. Reasons for tampo and how to avoid are a different issue and should be discussed right from the beginning of the realtionship. If drama is an excessive issue it's time to leave.

What she says is accurate. Guys like Filipina women for so many reasons but most of it is personality, values, commons sense and simply that want a good companion, wife, and mother. They check all of the boxes. So, if it's a good guy, he won't be hard to keep. If he's not a good guy, well, there's plenty of fish in the ocean. Keep in mind, that a truly good guy also wants to make a difference in your life. He wants to make an impact with his life that counts. Ultimately, he's selfless. If you encounter this. This is your knight. Don't let go of him and be that woman that deserves this guy.

I was surprised at some of the things you said Mia. The only Filipinas I’ve heard speak that way have a high body count and/or attract the wrong kind of guy, not real men. If I ask a woman what her favourite food is and she says sausage wink wink I’m going to immediately know she’s been over eating, if you know what I mean 😂. A real man with good intentions isn’t looking for a woman who has had a big helping of everything on the menu. You should be telling your fellow Filipinas that talking like that is not the best way to attract a real man who is looking for a long term relationship. It will however set them up for being used in the short term or as they say in the west, pumped and dumped. Also, if he is in the Philippines for less than a month then going back home he’s not coming back just because you gave him a good time. That’s probably all he wanted in the first place.

Great advice. Especially the tampo information. I chatted to several girls in the past who pulled that rubbish due to their own misunderstanding of chats then assumed I would just tolerate it and wait for them to finish their tantrum. When a girl thinks she is doing you a favour by continuing to chat with you that's the time to run. I blocked a few girls after days of silence only for them to email me or contact me on a new number saying how shocked they were that I dared block them. I told them sorry too late already chatting to the next person. I've finally found a wonderful girl that I'm looking forward to meeting once allowed.

Being late can be understood that the appointment is not important. Filippinas will be more respected, and loved, if they understand and share the idea that sex is a high expression of mutual appreciation. Be genuine and know that compatibility is so crucial. If you dont share the values of each other then expect the relationship to fail. Be happy and have fun!

Mia , I Totally agree on all what you mentioned here. Watching you reminds me of my teenage years of age. When I was in the province. From my own experience all I could say is be loyal to your foreigner partner and just stay as sweet as you are. If both of you are really meant to be together forever the hands of destiny will do all the works . You know why ? I met my Japanese husband when I was 17 years old. We have 24 years age gap. I never been in love and to be honest I just curious about the new life he offered me . He really wanted to marry me and asked my parents about it . To make the story short . My husband married me on month of Aug. year 1985 and by the month of September I started my new life in Tokyo Japan as a Japanese wife. On how to keep your foreigner BF / Husband is just needed lot’s of sacrifices . That’s what I learned from my 30 years of marriage to my late husband. He passed away from cancer 7 years ago . I am a widow and starting a new life on my own way and really loving the freedom. If you’re curious if I’m going to marry again? BIG NO ! Good luck and wishing you all the best.

Professor Mia is right on the button. There are a few things, however, that are missing when it comes to keep holding on to a guy. But in general she’s got it right. The one important thing missing is the reason why we westerners are attracted to Filipinas in the first place. Sure - the looks most definitely, but that’s not what I’m talking about. What makes a Filipina so irresistible to us westerners is the way a feminine Filipina treats her man. And if she can keep it up, and love her man in a way only a Filipina can, I’m sure the guy won’t be going anywhere near another woman. Just find ways to improve upon pampering your big baby boy and stop him from crying into somebody else’s arms.

A lot of good advice here. Throw out that tampo BS. It's destructive to a relationship. We're too old to deal with it. That's a childish act and it will drive him away. Don't be jealous or insecure. It's a real turn off. Ladies, my best piece of advice, is learn your place. You are not going to keep a man if you want to be the boss. You are not the boss. If you want a man to be Ander de saya, you need to find a younger man that doesn't mind simping for you. Learn your place. You're not his mother. Learn to listen more and talk less.

Men who can’t stand their woman being jealous shouldn’t be in the Philippines. First, those men are usually doing something they shouldn’t such as cheating or will cheat. Next, they don’t understand that being jealous is part of a Filipinas culture and DNA lol. It’s how they are, so if you don’t like it go somewhere else instead of trying to change her. Then there are the men who actually enjoy having a woman value them so much that they get jealous and possessive over them something that only happens to the .1% in the west. That last one is perfect for the Philippines and will do well here.

Western women are not insecure? Dude rethink that one. I understand where the logic comes from, but most women have considerable insecurities. They often hide them by trying to be the boss b.tch. Or hidden by narcissism.

@@prepperjonpnw6482 I would say Jealous is not a turn off... i understand they want to protect their man, and possibly that a foreign boyfriend doesn't know of certain dangers around the city (i view it as they want to protect us.) Is it okay for men to be Jealous as well or does this boil down to trust between a couple. Personally, When I am w/ someone I never want to let her go, I will go nuts if I don't get a text from her before lunch time. Being Sweet and Thoughtful is not Simp, personally i value the ideas and the opinions... Yea i am in a foreign country I need date ideas from her.

well, Mia you do pretty good on this video, but let me add something, i am 60 years old and yes you are right to a point about we are set in our ways and no one should try or force us to change ok, but let us change as we will and when we want too, ok but also keep in mind we will not change 100%, as for me i never trust anyone 100%, this is something i had to learn how to be and found out,, it was the right way to be for me, some people are more trusting then others and some less trusting then others, ok and then you have people like my self, where i never trust anyone 100% and in certain ways i will; never change, also keep in mind as i am pretty sure Paul has told you why he is the way he is and it makes perfect sense, as a lot of us have either been thru what he has too, or some what different things then him, not all men are the same way ok, but we will be pretty much knowing a lot of the same stuff and just have maybe a few different ways of dealing with stuff, when it comes to women or other people, thank you and take care and be safe.

Not only are you cute but with an insight into understanding the differences between cultures, it made me smile when you said about being on time, Asian time seems to be very different to western time, and westerners are pre-programmed from an early age to be punctual. The other big point you hit on was 'Tampo' be a deal breaker for me, life is too short for childish silence’s, have a problem, talk about it Keep up the good work

Well said. I lived in the Philippines and love the people there. I think you said most of the things I would have. Since many guys from the west are now red pill (like myself) we are looking for girls that won’t give us a problem or drama. Or just care about money. For me I like a girl who respects herself and makes her own money. Has plans in life. Rather than looking for a guy to fix her problems. Nothing more unattractive. I currently live in Thailand but definitely prefer the Philippines for dating. Can’t wait to move back to the Philippines as soon as covid is over.

Hello Mia , so good to hear that your taking on board things Paul has stated that he does not want in a relationship , so often many Filipinas are never willing to understand the foreigners culture and ways and simply feel they should except them fully as they are ,this being the biggest mistake as no relationship can be one sided if has to be both willing to keep out from the relationship things that cause upset that are not good weather they be cultural or behavioural ,I'm sure you have informed things you want or don;t want as well to Paul . I hope those Filipinas who watch your video take note and understand that they can't have everything their own way and that both have to make sacrifices to have a successful relationship, lack of understanding and an unwillingness to make changes in one's self is the biggest cause of future breakdown and complete end to the relationship .

I never had a foreign bf until I Met my love. D❤K. We were friends at first too yet the difference is, ever since he is always the one who's very willing to commit. Took me time to open up to him. Time goes by we build a good relationship.. he is my strength.,lover slash bestfriend.. There may be ups and downs yet we always find ways to fix. Filipinas do always have tampos and moodswing yet thats not good. Me personally im also in a process to improve myself nd get out if it. Not worth it to have tampo. If your man is always there, making you feel loved, appreciate it and do the best thing to make him feel loved as well. Respect his own time if he needs it. Support him with the things he wants, learn new things together, do fun activities together that will help you improve your relationship, make him feel you are always there for him no matter what. Im blessed to have my D❤K

I must thank you for this video . It's fun to watch as I feel connected to some aspects of it. Not all foreigners are westerners , some are asians like me. Started in FB, I have known my would-be-wife for 2 years 4 months. My previous 2 relationships with 2 filipinas consecutively failed. One of them was with Rowena Urnos Quiray . She was imprisoned in Philippines . Her news splashed on Abs-Cbn in Philippines. I don't want to elaborate. You may Google her name and what her crime was. NBI even contacted me and they are satisfied I were not involved with her activities. She was famous for a wrong reason. I can even write a book or ask a Filipino movie maker to make a movie about it ! I humbly say I went through a lot of experience, the worst is finally over. Long story short, I came to know Sherly Marie Dizon, sweet sexy good hearted 30 yo single mom with a 7 yo son, my present would-be-wife and everything went smoothly ever since. I am Malaysian yet pinoy at heart. I am still learning Tagalog as I found it has similarities with Malay and my ethnic Javanese root , words like tulong, payong, pintu, sayang, sakit, sinta, mahal and many more are similar. I am an avid fan of Robin Padilla, Rudy Daboy Fernandez, Eddie Garcia's and many more Filipino movies. Also singers like Ariel Rivera, Ray Valera, Renz Verano. Hence I am good in singing Tagalog songs and some Ilocano songs too. Watching Filipino movies and singing Filipino songs help me learn Filipino. My would be mother in law is pleased I can at least speak a simple Tagalog . My would be wife and I video call everyday. Like today , my mom in law and her relatives together with my would be wife. So happy

Excellent discussion Mia. Most older men are looking for a relationship. Many younger Filipina women have either never been in a long term relationship, or only dated young men who's interest is mostly in one thing, this is the heart of the problem. Young women learn how to attract a man but not how to be in a long-term relationship. Learning how to do it takes work and communication is a key. Most older men know this too and that is one of the reasons we don't go after snakes. We may like to flirt with theses women, almost all older western men like attention but we know how difficult it is to be with an immature women regardless of how beautiful she is. The expression "the juice isn't worth the squeeze." seems to apply here, you can google it.

drama happens w/ anyone and time of the month happens.. its how us men deal w/ it at that time is how they will act upon it... I personally won't say that to mine bc i treat her like a princess and she treats me as a king. In the Western World when a woman has tampo usually goes along w/ her men screwing up, something happen to her at work, traffic, or her time of the month. Since we are on Pilipino time over here, if she express tampo its because something her partner did, just read the signs.

Main thing is find a good man. A player or cheater won’t change. You can’t fix him. Not just young gwapo men with abs either old fat men too who are divorced once or more and have no intention of truly settling down. Also pay attention to actions not just words. Men will sometimes lie and tell you what you want to hear to either sleep with you or have a short to middle term relationship (1 year or less) Finally a good man will either marry you or date you long term like 5-10 years or more.
