Hello! Quick question! I know you're the queen of moisturization so you may not even do this lol but I'm wondering if you deep condition your hair? Also do you do protein treatments? I don't recall you ever mentioning these things in your journey.

I have my quarantine braids in as we speak. I haven’t straightened my hair since January 1st as well. It is nice not having to worry about my hair. I love your videos 😊. I only use 3 products on my hair now: water, olive oil/or Shea butter and my light leave in. I then braid my hair in 6or 7 large braids and leave them alone. It has worked so far.

Right! I have been reassessing my hair regimen. I had box braids with extensions (for 3 weeks, i did myself) and realized early they don't work for me anymore. My hair kept drying out fast. So I took them out, henna'd, deep conditioned and will probably keep my hair in natural box braids without extensions or two-strand twists. Most likely twists since they are easier. My only problem is washing with them in. I always wanted classic length hair so I am being extras careful with my high porosity, fine strands this time around. ETA (05/23/2020): I currently have mini braids (natural box braids) in because when I did the twists and washed it, my hair was so tangled at the root. I will not be doing that again.

Greetings, I’m a mom of little ones. After I had my twins my hair doesn’t feel as thick as it has been my entire life. It sheds a lot. I wear my hair in 4-6 twist with my satin bonnet. In your opinion are bonnets ok? I wash every 3 weeks and deep condition. I noticed that you don’t use deep conditioners or store products. How did you transition to that or have you always been that way? Love the videos. Wishing you & your family health, wealth, & an abundance of PEACE.

Greetings from Barbados too!! I had locs for 13 yrs. Took them out summer last year. Took me two months. whew! Never doing that again.lol My hair is alittle below bra strap length. Almost waist if not waist lenght. I dunno. Lol I cut my locs into a bob about 6 weeks before I decided to unlock em, I cut my locs short every other year, if I had open them before the cut my hair would've been tailbone length, but I'd still be undoing them. Lol I lost a fair amount of hair during the take down, so i like to think of this time as my new natural hair journey. Thanks for teaching us that we blacks can achieve long beautiful hair too with the right techniques.

I'm used to doing protective styles 365 but I wanted to give my hair a break to rest and just breathe and keep it out. Funny, but I have a black tea treatment/conditoner as we speak. normally i wash and condition my hair in between box braids a few times a year but dont always have time to care for it and deep conditioin. @@j2d532 You can use any leave-in that works for you. But if you want to try a diy leave-in, I use half part aloe vera juice with half part rose water and I add rose, rosemary & sandalwood essential oil to it and my hair LOVES IT. And dont feel bad I still wash my hair with store bought shampoo, there is nothing wrong with it as long as it doesnt damage your hair in any shape or form. Store bought conditioners are great too because you can boost them up with some henna or oils with essential oils too. 🙂😉

Hey guuurl!!! Yes!!! U can! I'll go to the gym with my wrap and do my thing all the time, the secret is wearing a very light breathable wrap and instead of another satin scarf underneath weat a satin bonnet instead it will make ur scalp sweat less

I get alllll of my headwraps from vintage shops it thrift stores, I like the ideas of my headwraps being "one of a kind" but I have found similar ones, u can also go on eBay and people sell really unique ones , I was just on there the other day looking for some since I can't go thrifting right now 😭😭

Go back to her wash routines, she previous said she only washes her hair about every 2 months. She moistens her with Aloe Vera to keep it soft and fresh while retwisting which she does often. I tried her method it is ALOT of work. But clearly it works.

How often do you trim your hair? Do you even recommend trimming natural hair? I do not use any heat at all, but I trim my hair at least every 3 months. I'm 2 years post big chop. What are your thoughts 💭??

I am so grateful to find your channel. I subscribed and binged watched all of you videos just before the nationwide quarantine. I hauled an aloe vera plant and some oils. @IndigenousStrandz11

Awww thank you!!!!! To make ur own u would need to add water unless u have a commercial expeller..and if u just blend it up and strain it it's still a gel consistency... I find the juice that is cold pressed works better unless ur use the actual leaf to make a gel or ingest it...
