Thank you! I'm so excited to making a temperature blanket. I heard about someone doing high temps in the summer, low temps in the winter, and average temps in the spring and fall, which I think is also a great way to get quite a range of colors.

This is an interesting idea. I was thinking about two recipients, and also thought of maybe (1) the temps for all of his birthdays (2) the temps for all of her birthdays and (3) several rows for the temp of their wedding day. That would make a decorative pillow cover, which might be a good idea rather than a blanket because they have a couple of big dogs. I need to find a source of minis of decent yarn, or pull out the dyepots.

I'm doing this for the first time this year. To make sure it wasn't going to be insanely long I'm knitting it in panels.

I think a temperature scarf or cowl could be a great project for using up fingering weight minis from advent calendars.

Good! I'm so glad you found it helpful. This big of a project can be overwhelming so it's always nice to get some tips from someone who's done it.

Loved the video. And since I'm in St. Louis I could pretty much just use your temp ranges! 😆👍But that would be too much like cheating.

Haha, well I wouldn't tell! Hopefully this helps you plan your own blanket but feel free to use my ranges as a guide!

Thank you for this video!! I'm just starting mine for 2022, but I'm not sure if I want to do 1 or 2 rows for each day. I'm using size 6 needles in a 2x2 rib pattern. Almost all of the information I have found says that it will end up being extremely long, but no one ever says how many rows they did each day or what size needles they used :/

Your blanket is beautiful. Love the colors and pattern. I have not done a temperature blanket. I love to make and have several afghans on the go. Scrappy granny-ghans...😆😉💕💕💕 Are you making one for 2021? Same pattern? Cant wait for a movie night and a new podcast from you. Happy New Year and Happy Stitching...❤️

Hi Vanessa, I'm not knitting one for 2021. With our move and several other fun projects on the needles I've decided to not worry about it this year. But I'm hoping to knit one for us next year or the year after! I'll probably do the same pattern but I love the idea of a garter stitch blanket because it would be so pebbly and scattered colors instead of clean stripes. So who knows? So many options! Glad you are enjoying the channel! Thanks for watching!

@@PotionYarns Ravelry has a Happy Scrappy Blankie pattern that I had seen on another podcast. I played with it and made a little doll blanket. I hope to make a larger one, starting in February. I could see using that pattern for a Temperature blanket. =]

How many skeins of each color did you order from knit picks?
@PotionYarns3 жыл бұрын
I ordered two of each except for a couple colors in the middle take I thought I would use more of. For those I ordered three skeins each. I had plenty of yarn total: but I did run out of one color that I used more than I realized I would.
