This is a beautiful outcome but I must ask: how did you get your 1x1 rib to look so even? Mine can look very scraggly in spite of smaller needle size, and yours is perfect.
@irinarevo Жыл бұрын
Thank you so much, Andrea!😊 "Scraggly" can be caused by a million of reasons. Hand knitting with mohair, for example. I made a note to make a thorough video on that. But for now, if you like, you can video-record how you work some 10-15 stitches and email it to me. I'll take a look. Maybe I can suggest something. Also, I work the rib in many of my videos - maybe take a closer look at the hands/yarn movements and see if you find some key differences.

@@irinarevo What an amazing reply! I will first start by closely watching your existing videos, and I would be happy to try to make a recording of how I am knitting and email it to you if it came to that. I am a thrower but I am not sure that is the only reason for a scraggly 1x1 appearance because I do not seem to get rowing-out, plus I am aware to give a tiny tug on the working yarn to rid the slack between a knit and a purl. I was especially interested in the yarn you used here. It seems very "round" and even and it looks like it is very mannerly and well-behaved in the 1x1 ribbing you are creating with it. I absolutely understand that yarn content and structure plays a role in the outcome. I will take some time to watch in depth, and then I can return with more specific observations. Meanwhile, I will subscribe. Thanks!

Thank you so much for watching my videos and subscribing! The yarn is aran merino by Sugar Bush. I have the Ribbing playlist, I hope it will help: kzbin.info/aero/PLemrxm_bPteU5xrHEsilVefg-9kE3erB4

@irinarevo Жыл бұрын
@fajsolga5660 Жыл бұрын
@irinarevo Жыл бұрын

Hy I don t understand somethinh is is the same stitches or you decreased stitches? It s a very cool idea then if you are able to decrease by changing needle
@irinarevo3 жыл бұрын
It's the same stitches, no decreases. I changed the needle size in the last row of the stockinette before the rib.
@paulettefoster97382 жыл бұрын
Could you possibly do this in slow motion. I can’t get how to do it.

Hi Paulette, you can click the gear icon at the bottom of the video (looks like a spiky circle) and select "Playback speed."
