On Today's Episode:
First dates can be so much fun but we tend to make them way too intense when we start overthinking everything. You’ve got the right outfit, hair and makeup are on point, but when it comes to conversation how deep are you willing to go?
One of the biggest challenges when you start dating is secretly decoding what he meant when he said that? You start conference-calling your closest friends to play detective and decipher his messaging, but why are you not asking him what you really want to know? Why are women so scared of asking the wrong questions and scaring him off too early?
It’s clearly better for us all, emotionally, to find out A.S.A.P is he really into you, does he just want to hook up, or is he really searching for a committed relationship.
Matthew Hussey has been giving women massive truth bombs about men, dating, and how to not be broken hearted for years. His KZbin channel is clearly a fan favorite with close to 3 million subscribers and almost half a BILLION views on his content.
This bite sized nugget is worth replaying and really thinking through before your next date. If you’re already several dates in, this episode is still for you too. Matthew is very clear that you have to stop dismissing and trying to explain away when your partner is saying difficult things for you to hear.
Him: “Not looking for a serious relationship.”
You: “Well, one day he will…”
Stop getting stuck in cycles and start listening and being brave enough to ask the hard questions that really matter to you.
Matthew Hussey has been a guest here on several episodes all binge worthy, and he’s said often, “You can’t scare off the right person for you.” Ask the questions and listen to the answers!

“We have this real idea of heroes and villains that we need to let go of.”
“A lot of men aren’t liars, they're just great avoiders.”

I'm a 40 year old women with experience in dating, marriage, divorce also the sex industry here. I really believe as woman we need to try our best to not open up or open our legs and give our body to the guys we are so attracted to ...or any guy. Men are just content with sex that's it and companionship is a bonus for them and if they can get away with it without full commitment then they will. . They think they have too much to risk and too much to lose in marriage. They just want the easy way and most men now have been coddled by their mothers. We have an epidemic of fatherless, poorly parented men and women and we need to set things straight again. Basics.. stay strong. Close the legs. Find your purpose in life so that you dont settle for a 'small' man. Make him wait until marriage/or serious commitment. They will play you like a Fuckin fiddle IF YOU LET THEM I am telling you..I'm not a hypocrite I have learned from experience and now helping other women be empowered. Love this channel Lisa!!

I had to do this with a guy ‘friend’ that I was growing close to and felt like there was something more between us. But I was also confused about it. He was super supportive with me loosing a loved one but then suddenly he was going cold and distant. And so I asked the hard questions and he confirmed he had a girlfriend that he ‘wasn’t sure about or how long term it would be’. I was a bit surprised as we are close but I didn’t know he was dating again. I wished him well with it but am letting him go. It’s all good cause I wasn’t sure about him either, but I also don’t want to have my time wasted and will keep my boundaries for my well being as he isn’t always upfront about these things or what he wants. He still wants to say connected and chat, but I’m not sure as I don’t want to be dangled as an option or played with. So focusing on what’s best for me. 😊

Best decision to stay away from him 🙌 well done! If a guy grows close to you without mentioning his girlfriend from the beginning, it means his intentions are not honest... 😑

Actions are communication. Consistenly spending time and being affectionate with someone communicates romantic interest. These non-liars are not "avoiders," they are deceivers. Yes advicing to ask more questions is great advice, but to blame women for not asking enough questions is victim-blaming.

I got goosebumps when Matthew said “wow, that’s an amazing question”. Matthew is amazing when he’s giving advice, but it’s so beautiful to see how he can listen so intently, validate, and really be receptive. It’s rare to find people who have that beautiful balance of giving advice but also, so ready to receive someone else’s wisdom. Love this conversation from both ends… such a gorgeous dynamic and I learnt a lot. Thank you❤

It's funny, now being older and still just finding guys that pretty much just want sex...I am just a bit jaded... great honesty... but it's depressing... it's just kinda ughh...I know many women in my position as they get older. I am just so glad women now are more financially independent and can choose to be single and even have a family alone. Where has love gone? Relationships were built on partnership to survive in history... with that gone... porn industry, internet... everything is different forever in the dating and love. Women need to realize, even if your a catch, life together, pretty etc... men are motivated by sex... period. Love does exist, but it's been tainted by media and how can be it be separated?

I agree. I believe women need to take responsibility more now and say no to sex early on, wait until you are so sure. The right man WILL wait it out. The wrong guy will ditch and run to the next shag

Men are completely spoiled rotten by a free sex nowadays. Why buy a cow if you can have free milk anyway? Women need to raise their standards for relationships to have that change.

My comment was exactly this:) Now, older, wiser...and a bit more jaded. As a stylist I have talked to women about their relationships for 25 years... things have changed a bit since we are more financially stable and able to have children alone...

Yes... But a man (or some women) can ask questions and seem to be genuine and not be sincere or genuine. These are called "players" - it's very difficult to differentiate. I married once. And I will never get married, or date for that matter, ever again. I don't believe that men and/or women just believe differently - they're lying - flat out. Not only are they lying to each other, they're lying to themselves. Nothing is possible without God. Period.

He is giving very bad advice when he says that you should tell a guy that you like him: he gets turned off. Men need to feel a bit rejected to like you. If you like them back, they lose the attraction
