My notes (full video is mind-opening with its depth!): 1. Self-fulfilling prophecy: thinking it’s not written can make it so (helpful diagram at 2:01). Use analogy of driving to grocery store: needing to stop at multiple stop signs does not make us stop the journey to the store; similarly, being stopped/rejected multiple times shouldn’t deter us from our goal inshAllah. It’s not a problem if we’re stopped, only a problem if we are dissuaded and give up early. Instead have the mindset of I’ll keep trying while I still live as we’ll only know “it’s not written” if we pass away and haven’t reached our destination. (This commentator’s perspective: even if “not written”, dua is our weapon and can change qadr). 2. Mindset of alhamdulillah, Allah SWT is saving me from a worse situation. “Happiness only comes from within and from Allah.” Dismantle thoughts about singlehood = bad and marriage = always happy. Blessings wherever Allah has placed us - we should avail these to the fullest. Never put your happiness in someone else’s hands (being sad about needing to wait).

@@liv16851 trust me Allah showed me what it is to feel stuck with this person. We were gonna get married but I felt so depressed because he hurt me so much. Then I learned for sure, yes Ya Rab you really only know this person is bad for me. I prayed so much and my friend too. She was gonna get married and the guy she prayed for messed up her life took her dignity and divorced her.. So really, trust in Allah's Hikmah I know its difficult but you've been here for a reason and this test too.Try to see what benefit this situation gives you and make a lot of duaa and give sadaqah without waiting to be saved instead, Allah wants YOU to take action and see why it is bad. I made duaa on the final when I coudn't bear it anymore, I said Ya Rab, If there is any khair in this situation and I am gonna get happy with this person, make it easy, but If its bad for me and I'll be sad, just make my heart firm on the decision and make it clear without my heart getting broken. Wallahi, after that prayer a lot happened and I saw that he was indeed a bad person for me and I learned SO much and now after 1 year I am so gratefull to Allah swt because I see how the guy does in his life (haram things, changed a lot, follows girls half naked etc.) and now imaging getting married to him feels like Hell. I am so gratefull Allah saved me before marriage but know It was the most difficult decision of my life but I felt like I had to trust Allah and go trough this pain. May Allah make it easy on you to understand the Hikmah and know! Allah knows you too well to not make it happen :) He just wants you to trust Him and see this also for yourself and for you to make a decision. Sometimes we get so deluded because we feel inlove with this person but Wallahi Allah is the owners of the heart, just give your heart to Him and talk to Him how you feel and to show you why He doesn't make it happen without you getting hurt. You'll thank me later! (I normally don't comment on someone so long but I had the feeling you really had to hear this).

You make choices and Allah already know the consequences, and He has written it already. Thank you so much for this video! I haven't finished the video yet but I'm excited to watch. I do have a question though, how do I tackle the situations where I do long for this person on and off whilst trying to set them free once I made duaa for them to enter my life. Ive found the balance to be tricky. In some moments I'm free, and other moments, I can handle the feelings of longing, but there are times where I does goet me down. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Alhamdulillah Im feeling much better after watching your videos, but I would like to know what to do once the wave of loneliness comes back. Once the wave of lonlieness comes back ensure you go straight to Allah, go pray extra, make extra duas, remind yourself the feelings you feel are from the shaytaan, you did the right thing and Inshallah Allah will bless you with a marriage full of goodness to your loved one, once you make dua learn to let go and have tawakkul, distract yourself with other things in your life, focus on the positive aspects remember Allah makes the impossible possible and all you can do is completely trust in your Lord, may Allah bless you with your loved one and grant you a beautiful marriage. Don't forget to pray tahajjud often even if it's just once a week you could do it every friday. I pray Allah eases your burdens

3:53 I wanted to ask that, I am 27 and thinking that sometimes I think the possibility that maybe Allah is not written it for me (not like giving up) but I am okay with it because I am single but I am trying to reach my goals and dreams and I am not pausing my life, so I accepted that if it is not written for me. But does this mindset prevents any possible chance to meet someone or to get married? Well, for me personally i guess she should answer your question but if mine will help i guess you should also consider it. Firstlywhat is written is written and cant be changed. But sometimes it can be changed thats if it has potential of shifting talking about how deep your connection is with Allah, here am not saying when you have deep connection with Allah then whatever dua you make is going to be shifted or answered like you cant make dua for allah to change the date you are going to die or make dua for allah to return to back in your mothers womb so that you can be a girl or a boy not that type dua. What am saying here is if its written it will find ypur way regardless how old you are but if its not written then those dua you made allah will save them for you until you reach jannah then you will see your dua right in front of you allahu aalam what is that but the reward is massive, and you also talk about whether you should be okay by not thinking, i guess its important you think about it but dont let it consume you soo much, i remembera popular hadith the messenger of Allah says he would feel sad for the youth that passes away not married so its important to think about it because its the sunnah of our beloved prophet and your chances of getting closer to allah and going to jannah is easier when you marry the right person for the right reason and its a dream for every parents. Am 28yrs single also lost my dad 6yrs ago my mum 3 months ago that is enough reason for me to probably say am okay to not want to marry but thats the only thing that will make them more happier. In shaa Allah you are exactly where allah wants to see you and your spouse will come sooner or later just keep your intentions pure and by allah will make everything easy i hope it helped you salam alaikum.

@@khadijahuthmann alaikum salam, I guess there is a misunderstanding I am not saying I do not want to get married or not using chances for getting married, I am just saying that since I am single I just focus on living my life and sometimes I am just considering that (not in a hopeless manner) maybe marriage is not written for me but it is fine, I know Allah will provide the best in Jannah. By saying I am okay with it I meant that😌 but as she said we can only know when we die whether it is written or not. So maybe it is a wrong mindset since it can attract the wrong people in our lives but I consider this as a possibility not every person get married. But I assume focusing on an idea ‘there is one for me that Allah chosen in this world’ is better as she mentioned. May Allah ease your hardship and struggle and bless you with Jannah😊

I'm 30 and watching all my friends..all of them mind you, be married, have kids and all my coworkers are married and have kids, I travel and all pedestrians are with someone or have kids that look my age, it really pokes at me. I'm a practicing vedic (hindu) and the scripture also says to let your ego go but this is the last front I have to battle. I've conquered a lot in my life but I cannot seem to get a relationship. the problem with me is where I live (europe) there is literally no men available in my nationality. I mean neither do europeans talk to me or make a move nor an other guy with other nationality do. So the only platform I can talk to men is instragram or facebook. I talked to bunch of people. The problem is either they are far away or they are pathetic. I`ve never been able to talk to men where they have real intentions they either wanted something sexual/see me as an object or had weird character. I`m not picky Allah knows I spoke to every men possible (ugly,handsome, middle, with job, without job, my nationality, not my nationality even disabled ones etc.) It literally doesn`t end up well so I stopped talking. I`m waiting for that guy that will talk to me in real life and take actions. I`m really fed up not finding someone online. And let me tell you neither my family nor my friends help to find someone so I gave up and I`m fed up to be honest.

@@Sara-yi6dq youre right, i would argue that its worser for women because they can fall in sin easier then men, its easy for a woman to have sex nowadays outside marriage. Its getting harder for both genders because of communities like red pill telling men to go their own ways, and feminist groups for women telling them they’re independent and dont need a man, when in reality its a very hard and depressing life to be alone without a spouse.

same wrong mentality which is, do everythi ng before marriage, otherwise once you are married you will be in jail. this is so wrong. if you expect a marriage to be a jail then you may end up in jail. instead say im gonna build my life and career and achieve my goals with my husband. travel together and live in idfferent states together. in fact im not sure if its permissible at all ladies live in different states alone without mahram

I want an advice if anybody could help I would consider it as a sign from Allah swt - I got a proposal and it's quite ok but I feel the this is not the person I prayed for not the kind of man I wanted..my family and parents are happy with this proposal and all seems well but here I am still not happy but cannot reject because the proposal seems good and I am 29 and have lot of acnes and dark spots and have very low self esteem but big dreams which is a bad combination I know but I am soo confused....I am torn between the duas I made and pictured in my head and now this happening im not even attracted to the guy and feel like he's not the one for me but I cannot say this and reject ...I will be questioned why and I fear I would not be able to explain to my family why....I want a brutally honest answer if I should shut up and accept/ if I am really being ungrateful/ or whatever it is...I really want some real advice...I feel soo stuck

Personally, if I was in your position I would reject. Your gut feeling is telling you that you don’t want him, which is a big enough sign from Allah to not go ahead with it. If I’m being honest, you should work on yourself to become more confident. If roles were reversed, would you want an insecure partner? You should focus on being the best version of yourself, rather than being in a life long commitment with someone you would be miserable with. That marriage is gonna be hell cause your insecurities are eventually gonna show & men always use it to their advantage. I get everyone has their insecurities but judging by what you’ve said, it sounds like the guy seems decent on paper & the reason a part of you isn’t feeling it, is because you think he’s too good for you. You really need to focus on yourself for the time being. Because you will meet someone who has the things you want in’sha’Allah. Maybe you could get to meet someone that YOU want to know & take your time with it e.g. dating apps. Not necessarily what your parents want.

Listen sister Allah knows best, but I try my best to give you a sincere advice as follows. First of all you have to know that nobody is able to find his or her life partner who is matching her or him 100 percent even twins are not matching each other like that ok? Second you have to see how much compatible you are with him in different aspects of life maybe you have to talk to him to know him more. And third you have to make istikhara prayer so that Allah swt guide you to the right choice which is good for your religion and your life. Remember sister that time passes so fast and as we grow older our options shrink more, so make the wise choice. May Allah help all of us .
