Luv the video and welcome Dan, our favorite British person! There are a whole bunch of Korean BBQ places here is CA (USA) some places will have the perilla leaves and lettuce and some do not. However, we do it at home, we get all of the items, veggie wraps as needed and enjoy a night of k bbq and the house smells delicious for a couple of days 🤤😀 lmao, I don’t know if it was the soju, but the names of places in the UK was hilarious!

20:20 Oh! Okay that makes sense because my brother used to have a roommate who was American born Korean. The roommate had never been to Korea, but his parents were immigrants. When I was invited over for Korean BBQed pork, I was surprised to find out that he’d just seasoned it with salt and maybe pepper. I was expecting saucy. Korean bbq is one of my absolute most favorite things ever. It’s good in Japan, but Korea is of course another level. I think the best I’ve ever had was while visiting friends in southern Jeju Island. Just a local place down the street, grilling outside. I miss Korea!

2 cleanliness questions about KBBQ cooking! at 12:22, the raw meat you put down touches the cooked meat. Do you worry about cross contamination, or just make sure to eat that cooked piece of meat a little later to give it time to kill the germs? Also, do you not worry about touching the raw meat and then other items right after (like, your shot glass and the perilla leaves later for the wrap)? or i did you wash your hands inbetween camera shots?

Where is your grill from? And do you need to have the window open?

My grill is from PATs the local Korean grocery store, but you can get it online. And 💯 you absolutely need an open window. I’m in my garage and the door is open to allow cross flow of air. When I lived in an apartment, I did BBQ indoors, but I had my balcony door open, and I had a fan blowing the smell and smoke to the winds. Most Korean restaurants have fans that suck up the smoke 💨
