I’ve never been the girl who knew how to dance, but lately at age 22 I’ve been really motivated to learn ballet again. I used to dance as a young kid at age 6 but stopped as my mum saw I didn’t show much of a passion for it as a young girl, I was more of a Tom boy and unfortunately I wanted to do Boy Scouts just like my little brother instead of ballet and dance.. BIGGEST REGRET. I really wish I could tell my young self now to keep going.. I could of been amazing.. I guess 22 isn’t too late is it?

Thanks for sharing these tips!! I had been looking for them to overcome my current learning challenge ! Here's a quick summary : 1. Watch the Choreography First (See before you start) 2. Learn in Phrases (Relate the lyrics to the choreo) 3. Marking (Go through the motions and use muscle memory) 4. Repetition (all the way.... until just before you go to sleep which aids memory retention) 5. Keep Practicing Steps 1 to 4--the more you train your mind to memorize choreo, the easier & quicker it will be. Detailed explanations are in the video :)

I'm a dancer and have been for 16 years, choreography Is thrown at me a lot. Especially new choreography as I am a competition dancer! I really think this helps! Also I feel that writing or drawing the choreography out and mentally marking my dance works the best

Don't feel embarrassed!! Dance is something really fun to do and you shouldn't ever be judged for it! I like to dance anywhere and everywhere :) Any spare time you get, practice and you'll start to feel more confident! 💃💕

Melisa mela what really helps me is to watch the mirrored version 7 times the night before and then learn an 8 count to the core before moving on to another 8 count. YOU CAN DO IT!!

Since i was 12 i wanted to dance but i'm fat and ugly can't even look at myself in the mirror but i still watch choreos sometimes, years later i stanned a group called BTS and watch their choreos and now I'm so eager to dance they woke my passion for dancing that has been sleeping for years but i'm still too ugly and fat and still can't even look at the mirror, i dance facing the wall, isn't 20 too old for dancing?? Can i still get flexible at that age?

No 20 isn’t too old at all and it’s definitely still possible to get flexible it’s just a little harder! As long as you put in the time and effort to training and stretching everyday you’ll notice improvement in no time!! Please don’t put yourself down I’m sure you’re amazing and self belief is the most important ingredient 🥰
