Same.. thought so many times if it's best to go seperate ways.. but the heart always won. Until i wrote him a letter with all my worries about the future.. dreams and all that crap. Thanks for checking up dudes. Feeling a lot better. Still random flashes of old memories. Mostly ones that trigger feelings of guilt. Like "I should have been more patient" or "I can't believe I did that." I went out for walks alone at night, Journaled in a park under a tree, and just tried to open up more with friends. All of that helps if you have the mindset of "that isn't me anymore." But it's been a year and a half, I still feel it.

I've been reading / watching a lot of these videos in the past few weeks as I've not long come out of a relationship that I'm still holding on to. However, as good as the advice that I've heard (and this is no exception) I still believe that many of us need to go through a period of initial 'suffering' and let it subside a little before putting any advice into action. Emotionally, and more importantly, mentally, I'm not able, or prepared, to deal with the situation without first taking stock - and this is despite knowing that the advice being given is true and will work. Me and my wife separated in 2020, I went through atleast 3 months where I was sad and very depressed every day, I seemed to get over her for a while and then we started talking again and even hooking up, we always had a very strong sexual connection and spent so much time being intimate and I became desensitized to anything other than her, she swoops in every now and then and screws my head up completely. It's been two years and now I find myself depressed and missing her again, I wish I could let go of that feeling of longing for her. Also I get insanely jealous if I think she is with someone else and it's eating me alive. I still love her obviously but I'm torturing myself and I'm feeling very depressed lately, I could cry at any moment and it get unbearable. 😢 today has been especially bad. Because she started ghosting me again. I feel so pathetic loving someone and being faithful to woman that don't care anymore. Im very shy around new people and talking to other girls in person is so awkward and weird, I feel like I'm only doing it to try to move on and every date I've planned I wind up not going or being to guarded, I just cannot get comfortable with someone else yet. I wonder how long it will take to eventually move on, and stop checking my phone every 5 min to see if she calls or messages. The most painful thing I've experienced in my life is watching the person I've made my happiness memories with also become a memory. We are still married but separated, I thought I'd try to hold on and not give up because I thought these feelings were worth it, but now I realize how much I'm hurting myself by wasting my life waiting for something that just isn't happening. I really let her get to me 12 years together and 2 years of sadness, anger, missing her. I am gonna do my best to occupy my time so I won't think about her as much, because im literally dying of a broken heart.

That sounds painful 😢 She's being so fkn selfish by coming back into your life and sparking up the feelings you have for her and then ghosting you. She doesn't care about you, and she is not worth it at this point. Cut her off completely. Draw a line she can't cross and set your BOUNDARIES. Who gives a damn if she's with another person. Sucks to be them. I wouldn't date anyone just yet. Work on letting her go first. Use your thinking brain not your emotional brain. That's what I've learned to do. Often times, our feeling brain is the one driving the car and our logic is sitting in the passenger seat forced to make sense of our emotions which are sometimes hurtful to ourselves. So train yourself and think logically about the situation and write down that list or just journal everyday.

I absolutely had to delete all social media for my sanity! I would always see if he was online and if he wasn't I would imagine why and what he was doing,literally took over my life no kidding and I woiks have constant anxiety. I did this for almost a year straight every single day. He would view my FB story on a regular and it would give me false hope..was he thinking of me? Does that mean he misses me?...NO. He never reached out he doesnt care about me...I didnt care about myself...Now since I deleted everything I havent had the anxiety I havent had stories in my head of what is he doing , yes I still think of him but not like I was when I was in social media.
