this was cool i think u did justice as far as giving small details to those especially who are not super familiar however u look at it. i personally only use fl limiter when im side chaining honestly. a good trick it 2 highlight everything and just add it too its own bus track. i find that and yeah your right screw -6 . throwing it in a bus and just making sure it stays solid in that -3 range i think is solid enough.
@yungmuda4144 жыл бұрын
no cap, this the best leveling tut online. BTW if you got Splice, Ozone might be free. It is for me. AND the -3db hint is solid, good for mastering beats to sell online. Let the mixing engineer have the -6 db trackouts.
@AB-js5uv5 жыл бұрын
Turn down the envelope knobs on the limiter when mastering with it.
@JJ.Picasso5 жыл бұрын
When figuring out your limiting threshold you need to adjust both the threshold and out put at the same time so you hear what you are limiting instead of just fooling your self with a louder mix. Once your kick is getting soft back the threshold a little and then adjust your out put gain

Hey bro, great videos, I always stay up to date, but quick question, I usually use my focusrite scarlet to level, and mix in cuz it helps me hear the sound quality better, atleast for me, but what I wanted to know is that, how far should I turn the monitor knob, should I have it turn At the max? I have studio monitors as well that I connect to the focusrite instead of my headphones sometimes, what can I do on the hardware end to make sure that I'm leveling correctly when I'm inside fl studio? P.S- my laptop volume is to the max
@BroBeatzTV5 жыл бұрын
just put it at a comfortable level for you, the volume of your speakers/headphones dont really play a huge factor. The knobs in the DAW will be what you want to focus on
