Yep, everything is clean, ironed, hung up and clearly taken care of and this is the key. If he likes to not have to think too much about his outfits, it can also be helpful to have a limited all over color palette so everything in his closet can mix and match together
@sophievanderbilt13257 ай бұрын
Yes this is what I did for my husband. I narrowed his clothing palette down to shades of blue, green, cream, gray, and tan. Now when he just reaches for anything, it always somehow looks coordinated. He said it’s easier to get dressed too because he doesn’t have to think about matching. I know it sounds a bit boring to only wear certain colors but he literally doesn’t care (which is why he was wearing some wildly horrible outfits before 😅)

@@sophievanderbilt1325 I'm getting married soon and haven't had a good style since I enlisted in the military. My fiance loves what I wear now, but if i'm going to be a husband I want to dress the part. I like the way I look in black so that makes things super easy for me. Black and white and some neutral colors thrown in. Easy!

I couple of years ago I rebrought my wardrobe, as I hadn't brought new clothes in over 10 years and most of it was worn out. And I wanted a completely new style look. What has been really successful was finding a few brands that I really liked and buying whole outfits from the same season. They are already colour palette matched! Plus like you, I limited my colours: mostly blues, greens & tans. Now I can pick almost anything and it goes nicely together.

Day ten of asking for a video about 80s fashion/the different types of men’s fashion during the 80s like preppy, fitness, casual, business.
@Gee-xb7rt8 ай бұрын
tapered pleated pants were great for preppy, casual, and business. I don't remember the sports clothes things taking off until the 90s. Moms would dress up like flash dance and olivia newton john to go get frozen yogurt, that was really the extent of it, suburban Wagoneer moms, the precursors of soccer moms. Very generic casual looks would be oxford shirt or polo, straight leg jeans or pleated chinos, very basic white tennis shoes, like Adidas Daily, penny loafers, boat shoes.
@mndlessdrwer7 ай бұрын
high contrast and a good fit is the name of the game for that crisp look. classic straight leg pants are some of the most attractive on the majority of people unless you're particularly skinny, then go ahead and get slim straight to compensate. Dark jeans go with light colors or high saturation bright colors, whereas light wash jeans go best with black or high saturation dark colors. And most dudes need to seriously investigate the fit they require for their shirts. If you have a smaller waist than chest, you may want to consider athletic fit or "modern" fit. If you're just thin and willowy in general, then slim fit is the way to go. If you're just broad all over then classic fit is the best choice.

If you're someone who likes to throw on any old thing, or you're shopping for someone like that, buy all of your/their clothes in one palate. If their closet is full of random stuff, the outcome is going to come out pretty random. If it's well edited, and cohesive, the outcome is going to come out edited and cohesive. (And for the love of god, don't try to shake things up. Your attempt to inject a bit of color is going to result in them wearing an orange hoodie with purple shorts. If you want to add variety, focus on tone on tone patterns and textures. Texture really almost always looks more luxe and considered than color anyway.)

I can tell you, if you’re a guy who lives in the US, simply make the resolution that you will not leave the house only wearing jeans and a t shirt ever again (if you’re doing anything except outside work), and it will be a huge upgrade. Those qualifiers are not slander. I’m an American guy (one of you). In the VERY least, pick a NICE t shirt and throw a flannel or button down over it. Then, if you can manage, wear anything but shorts or blue jeans any time you can. It looks so much nicer. Moving abroad ruined me in this way. I can’t not do it now.
