My mom was gorgeous, people would tell her she looked like Sofia Loren. She was so understanding and caring, people would say " there's just something about you" her beauty on the inside shined through to the surface. She taught me to care for my body and how important it is to be kind, generous, understanding, forgiving. She ALWAYS had her nails painted, eyebrows on point and hair curled lol she was fabulous!!! It will be 6 years since she passed this July and watching this brought tears to my eyes because I lost myself in motherhood (like MANY do) all I can say is ok mama I hear you! Time to focus on me again. Thank you so much Wayne.

I think this is the most heartfelt video you've ever done, and it's most appreciated. My late husband wasn't the best-looking, but he always made me laugh, and never failed to tell me how much he loved me, or how beautiful I was (to him). Women (girls) are very hard on themselves. I was looking at some photos a while ago, I was 19 in one picture, and looking at it I thought "I always thought I was plain, bordering on homely. What was I thinking??? "I was pretty damn hot, truth be told, not bragging but saddened at the realization that I wasted a lot of time putting myself down. So here I am at 68, finally liking my body and comfortable with who I am. I AM kind, and finally kind to myself! Thank you, Wayne, you are quite right! XOXO

I look at family pictures, me as a baby, smiling. I had no idea I would become the"plain sister". Two years later along comes the cute, little dimpled blonde and curly baby sister - and I was doomed! Every childhood pic thereafter I was sad, mad, and upset. Now, years later I realized that we plain chicks have a HUGE advantage: we learn early to "accentuate the positive and eliminate the negative". All of those ladies born beautiful (and applauded for that gift that they did nothing to deserve) have no reason to learn the beauty tricks and how to make a sow's ear look like a silk purse. Now cute baby sister is older and I'm younger. I may be old enough to know better but I'm still way too young to care! Diana Ross (I think) said "If you walk and talk like you've got it, you have!" Come on sisters and brothers, smile and strut, 'cause you've got it!!

I don't know if you'll ever see this, though I really hope you will. I want to thank you so much for this video. I truly mean that. I have to remind myself of these principles all the time. I'm overweight. Like 100 lbs overweight. But when I look in the mirror I see this genuine, funny, kind, generous girl and I smile. Then I go out into the world and the world at large tells me I'm fat, I'm ugly, I have no value. I have to constantly remind myself of the things i like about myself just to get through the day. So to hear someone as attractive and successful as you say those same things gives me hope. You have no idea how powerful your message is for those of us on the verge of giving up. So thank you. Really and truly.

Mentally and emotionally it's hard for men and woman to cope with weight gain. For yourself, apparently your husband loves you for You and you are lucky to have a Man like that. My gf walks 45mins 4 days a week and she's lost alot of weight surprisingly. I can't walk that long, but I've been walking for 2wks now and it's a nice way to clear my head, get the heart pumping and know that in time, I'll lose weight eventually. You are singing my song. I am literally watching my partner move out. When we met I believed I was beautiful. I felt beautiful. And now almost a decade later, I feel... Somehow less than. So I needed this video. And realizing I'm not the only one who has endured such emotional devastation, helps remind that we are never alone. And we are all connected. I'm sorry for your pain. But it is a beautiful thing to survive. And when we endure, we grow because we learn. Now I must learn to feel like me again. I must re learn what it means to feel beautiful and I shall do so my experiencing kindness with all I come in contact with while not allowing myself to be walked on or treated with anything less than kindness. I'm sorry if I'm rambling. This was very cathartic just to put into words. Thank you both. To Mr.wayne Goss defender of beer bellies everywhere and to you yourself. Thank you. I see you.

This reminds me of when I met my husband..... We were set up by mutual friends on a blind date. When he first pulled up in front of the house to pick me up, and I saw him get out of his car, I thought to myself nope! No. Definitely not my “type”. Sometime during our dinner date, I realized that he was absolutely adorable; his huge personality and wit, his genuine smile and his dimples. We will have been together for 20 years this upcoming July, and I am so glad that I didn’t let my initial reaction to his physical appearance blind me to all of the amazing qualities he possesses! I have the most hard working, most thoughtful, and, yes, sexiest husband ever!!! Thank you so much, Wayne. This video was beautiful and empowering and I appreciate you so much.

I really loved this. It reminded me of my mom. Shes been gone 6 years now but she told me a lot of what you're saying. When you feel your worse, put on makeup, do your hair, and you will feel fabulous. Everything you say and do affects someone either positively, or negatively. So I always find something nice to say about someone, even strangers, and I tell them. Why not?! I mean it, I say it. I agree with everything. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. What you find unattractive about yourself, someone will cut off an arm to have. I love wearing makeup, and looking pretty even for the grocery store. Some may say you focus on vanity to much, no I'm focusing on me and what makes ME feel good. So screw you 😂. Love you wayne, sorry for the book 🤔😋

This really made me think about how hard we all can be on ourselves. I have been in a relationship with a person who loved me when I was at my fittest, and even when I gained weight. I am always insecure about my weight, but not when I was around this person. To him I was beautiful and he didn't care if was fat or thin. What he loved the most about me was how I cared about my family and my passion for teaching. It wasn't if I wore heels to a date or how clear my skin was. I have met some beautiful people in my life, but not all were beautiful on the inside. I have realized that everyone sees beauty in their own way. We may not look as stunning as a super model. But that doesn't mean we don't have beautiful qualities. It has taken me years to realize that. it really does come with age. Beauty truly is in the eye of the beholder.

Completely agree. Especially on personality. It completely ‘makes’ someone’s appearance for me. I can see a woman, and everyone in the room can think she’s stunning, but if she’s not kind, I simply can’t see her as beautiful. For me, when I see someone that’s cruel, all I can find are faults. I can’t find anything physically beautiful in a mean person. * I’ve also noticed that the kindest people seem to appear the most beautiful to me.
@rheaanne18586 жыл бұрын
Doesn’t Matter Yes, I agree. A few years ago I found a girl really beautiful at my work place. But at a team lunch one day, I found out that she was really mean and really a nasty person. Her beauty didn't matter to me after that, and all i could think of was how horrible she was. After a while, everybody starts looking good and it's their kindness and good nature that matters and not good looks.

KarenBritChick Bravo. I e been watching KZbin for two months while I've been home sick. At first you knew your stuff and were personable. Then I began to appreciate your death of knowledge, parceling it out in small pieces that make big differences. You also had a respect for people and an honesty unusual in most people. Thank you for this. Someone said the youngest looking women are the ones who are happy. They meant the ones not consumed by anxiety about t their looks, dress, status but enjoying life. You can't do that if you're making everyone around you bored or unhappy. Wayne Gross, I'm 65 and I've been buying make up all my life. Change it. I let myself be sold a product would change my looks. I lived in Italy where the salons had a MUA that didn't cost the NY prices. Not very much really. It didn't make sense even go an American like me to have professional hair and amateur make up. Or I could pop in if I was going out with someone I fancied, even for a pizza. $150 on hair goes unnoticed. Someone's looking at your face. If it looks good I didn't think about it. Now I'm unhappy because the mouth is turning down. When I was little I thought old ladies were mean. Now I'm old and I don't like looking like I'm cross with people. This is an easy fix with a bigger in one than mine. You said you were a poor kid. You know. All this to say being kind is what makes you beautiful. That's great wisdom at any age. You can laugh and enjoy life. Of course sex feels good. It's supposed to. Enjoy it. But I also enjoy watching my friend's new dog chase his tail in circles when he's excited. He's having such a good time and the innocence is beautiful. Helping may not make me beautiful, but when I'm blue it's the guaranteed activity that makes me feel good. This comes when I've been ill at home for three years in a new village. My close friends have been pushed and I've treated them badly. I've felt awful physically. I felt abandoned. Those were my feelings but a honest person said, "You always talk about you." She cut my hair in a posh salvo and disappeared for almost a year. I found her when I moved into a new apartment. A safe one. I'd been abused by my brothers who, bring lawyers, took all my money legally. I was at my parents taking care of my father who was dying. Without him they got violent. At 50? They had my mother, who had dementia bring complaints. Eventually, because of what they told her to say in court, she believed it and went from confused to scared. I ended up indigent on the streebut found good people. I also finally found the woman who cut my hair. She'd left after years of sexual harassment. So we met, vented and found someone else who understood us, each other. ANC we went forward. Thank you for getting me distracted from pain and this video. I'm sending it to my niece. I'll put some Vit C and SPF in as she's 20 and needs to start taking care of her skin. But she needs to take care of her spirit. You just got a halo with this.

So many of us with chronic illnesses here. I was tossing the idea of starting a channel just for us but I thought it would be too much of a niche population. Turns out there are lots of us and maybe a dedicated channel for us might actually be needed. I think we could use a channel where we discuss the things we enjoy, like makeup, hair, etc, etc, but we learn how things can be done a little differently to accommodate us or make things a little easier. I’m really interested in beauty stuff but not really a video person but I would do it if I thought it could benefit just one person. We could also highlight various disorders or conditions and learn about them to spread awareness in addition to doin fun things like makeup :)

I have a genetic disorder and many off-shoot conditions that make life painful and exhausting. When the doctor asked me if I am still sexually active and I said yes, she looked at me with surprise. She said “I wasn’t expecting to hear you say that because you have so much pain”. I told her “I adore my husband, he’s the cutest thing ever. I can’t keep my hands off of him” lol. Talk about a jaw dropping. She was not expecting that. But it’s like you said Wayne...when you find someone sexy, let them know it and if you have someone you love, show them that love. Yes I could avoid sex and maybe my back wouldn’t act up so badly but the feeling you get when you’re with someone you love so much is so healing to your soul and can help with some aspects of pain too. Being completely in love with someone is a gift. If you have that in your life, let them know it and let yourself feel it too. It makes such a strong marriage (we’ve been married for 13 years and it gets better everyday).

Denise Vasquez Lemrick I’m so sorry you experience so much pain but I’m so happy that you’ve found love again and despite your pain, you are so in love and so attracted to your husband that you won’t let your illness take away the intimacy that you are so lucky to experience. Being in love so deeply like you and your husband are and they way me and my husband are is a huge gift and I’ll be damned to let my pain take away that blessing. Take care. I hope you have many low pain days ahead of you ((hugs))

Denise Vasquez Lemrick You sound so similar to me. I also have spinal stenosis. There are a couple places in my neck area where if I look up or down, the disc and the stenosis pinched my spinal cord. The neurosurgeon said that if I couldn’t stop looking up for any period of time on my own, he would have to fuse a few vertebrae in my neck. I told him I will not look up if I don’t absolutely need to. If I hold my arms up to say, make cookies for the kids and have to raise them to the level of even just the counter, the entire center of my face goes numb and no one can tell me why. I just saw a uro-gynecologist and he told me I have pelvic congestion syndrome with possible endometriosis so I could be looming at a hysterectomy soon (I hope so, I can’t take this pain anymore down there....it feels like I have a baby crowning when this congestion gets really bad. All of my issues are from a genetic disorder I inherited from my dad. Have you been checked for any connective tissue disorders or a connective tissue disease like lupus?

You nailed it on the head. If someone is kind, and confident then their inner beauty shines through. If a person is mean or complains alot, then it shows on their face and on their soul. I love that you added to find your style and stick with it. Many times in my life, people have told me to update my look. But I only change small little things. I don't really deviate too much from the style I have had since high school in the 80s. It's a slow update, but my style remains visible. So thank you for doing this. It's a great reminder to us all that makeup doesn't make us beautiful, although it can enhance our style and features. True beauty is inside a person...

Being kind is not for sissy’s. I don’t know how many times I’ve been looked down upon by others for doing the “kind “ thing. In our day and age it’s sometimes seen as a weakness and that’s just sad .☹️

I am kind but if people say anything to me about being taken for a mug, I tell them where to go, giving homeless ppl money for example, had a friends say don't waste your money so I just laugh and call them tight wads, they hate that, I'm kind but if someone tells me it's wrong I will bite back. Be kind but for those people who judge you for your kindness, turn the tables on them.

Ur right, what i have to say is when u cant be kind to others be kind to urself and just ignore or walk away, that way you preserve your sanity and self-love when others’ are testing your kindness.

Is it just me or when I see a beautiful women and then I hear how mean she is, I immediately see her physical flaws? Or when I meet someone that I don't find too attractive, but when I get to know them more, I find them to actually be very good looking. Hmm!

I try to remember to call my boyfriend handsome and sexy. He’s such a beautiful person inside and out. He doesn’t talk too much about how he feels about his appearance, but I still try to remind him how I feel about it. 😛😉 I know I don’t always feel good about mine, there’s so much I don’t like and wish I could change. But when he calls me beautiful all of the insecurity leaves my mind. I hope that someday I’ll look in the mirror and stop thinking about my flaws, and instead think of how beautiful he makes me feel. 🙂

Oh the sexy discussion was fabulous. I suffered from horrendous bullying all through my schooling for being a curvy girl - by no means overweight - then I got sick and my thyroid stopped working and the weight came. Add to that a long list of other issues my self image took a beating. I've got a little belly and my first partner loved the way my under boob rib area dipped down to my belly. I couldn't understand it at age 24, but now at age 40 I regret how I looked at myself and what he loved. My body has got me through 48 surgeries, it carries my soul and my sensitive heart. You reopened my eyes to sexiness my dear Wayne, I hope you also know that people find you sexy, me included, and I hope you'll find someone with a belly to adore soon! Thank you for being honest - as always.

I wanted to thank you. I have someone that is much younger than me that tells me how sexy and attractive I am. I don't find myself that way I am cruel to myself and say I'm fat old mom. Who wants this. And he tells me that's for me to decide. It feels nice to have someone tell me how sexy I am. He says how I carry myself with such confidence and how I look put together always is what's most attractive. You just made me feel like he's not bull$hitting me. And he really does find me attractive and sexy. Thank you! Truly Wayne. I appreciate your videos lately. They have touched base with me so many times lately. And I always forget to comment. But tonight I felt the need to thank you. With tears in my eyes and hope in my heart that just maybe I won't be alone forever.

This almost made me cry....not quite but almost. The reason being; to shed tears for something so beautiful and true would almost be insulting, well...to a point. I won't bore you with my story of what life has handed to me...what I will say though is that, when you xo, Mr Goss speak, you speak with integrity, with honour and LOVE. And you speak to me, in the sense that, I follow what you are saying...beauty is from within, not just from the core, but from the MIND.... the SOUL .... the HEART.... THE ESSENCE. I watch your videos on a regular basis...I take from them...what I need....and between your advice and my old girl lol "wisdom" find quite a lovely balance...I've gone from.... ohhh gosh no can't be that bold..to.... lets be a bit cheeky today... let ME remind ME that the beauty within radiates out.... lol just my blurb ( curtsies....) you my sir are a Knight in shining armour. And I just luv ya to bits for being so xxxxxxxxxx

This is my second time commenting on one of your videos all this time I've been watching. This is one excellent video that I definitely myself needed today and I'm sure many others needed. It's nice to see some of my favorite KZbinrs doing some very interesting content. I myself haven't been feeling like myself lately I was in a very bad car accident 6 weeks ago broke multiple ribs fractured my nose that left a scar on my face and also shattered my right ankle requiring nasal reconstructive surgery and Ankle surgery with plates and screws . Luckily I was wearing my seatbelt but it left a 3in scar in my hip . The seatbelt is what saved my life and I am grateful to be alive , it's very hard to maintain the usual me which I am one of those that likes to do makeup everyday and do my hair and not being able to do that lately has not made me feel beautiful . After watching this beauty comes from within side This was fantastic thank you! Just a side note : I sure hope this makes the trending list because I think everybody can benefit from this video ❤

I was beginning to lose hope that the beauty circuit on YT would always remain product focused and shallow until your video Wayne. Thank you for pointing out that beauty comes from within. My mum always told me but I didn't believe her until I had a family of my own. Now I get ready for me and no one else because I finally figured out that to love others you have to love yourself first.

You hit the nail on the head in your reply to Wayne's video, you have to love yourself before others can love you is also what my mum always said to me too and that little saying has been my inspiration for many many years, true beauty is what's on the inside ❤ Sadly we live in society now that that it's ALL about how you look on the outside 😟

Exactly! Now I bloody love makeup. Been doing it for years I love the artistry how it transforms people. But there used to be a time where makeup didn't exist, and there were plenty of beautiful women back then that were totally sexy inside and out. At the end of the day if you rely upon makeup 100% of the time, there's going to be a time where you won't be able to do the same looks or maybe you won't get to wear it at all and you have to be comfortable with yourself. If you're worried your partner will think you're ugly without it, well get another partner because it all comes off at the end of the day (And it has to!) You're all beautiful.

Thank you for this video. I'm a mom of a two year old and I really stopped giving a shit after he turned 6 months. But lately I've found joy in make up again. My body does not look the same and I hated it but now I'm learning to love my body. I'm trying to dress up again (although on a budget). My husband loves me and my curves but I've pushed him away because I felt gross. I will hold him closer now and show him affection. You really reminded me of what's important and making myself and my husband feel special. Yeah I'm a mom but I'm a sexy woman too.
