Exactly my problem as well and ingrained over many years unfortunately. There seemed to be a theory that you should resist hip rotation and coil up on your backswing but now turning the whole body on the backswing seems to be the current method. Maybe I'm incorrect in this. Disappointed that over the years the above advice had never been pointed out to me by any of the professional coaches I've been to.

I think you just always went to bad coaches, I always got taught hip rotation

Great demonstration and instruction. As a senior golfer who’s been playing now for 3yrs, fundamentals need to be emphasized more.
