Much easier to place the zipper on top of the fabric by doing it from the wrong side of the fabric. Also, instead of sewing just the two ends and leaving a gap, turn the regular stitch to basting, place the zipper on top, sew, then remove the basting stitches. Way faster and easier.

I'm sure this would've been super, if one could have seen what was being done. But I have a couple of bits of constructive criticism: Next time, I would consider using a contrasting colour of thread for this tutorial, like red or black, so that the stitching can be seen by the viewer. And more close-up videography would be helpful. As it is, just when you're hoping to get a close look at what Margo's done, the camera pulls back, and you still can't see. Great technique, though. I'll try it!
