William Jakespeare your Warehouse 13 builds inspired me to check the show out. 5 seasons later, my emotions have barely recovered. In other words... knock knock ;)

Sadly Richard Wheatley has gone out of business or at least in receivership so nother source may need to be found for the gold fly box. There are similar ones around. The original Farnsworths in the TV show had grey screens but later ones are black. Glad you found my webpage of some use. I need to add more progress photos and a pic of the final build.

In case you need additional glass lenses, if you look up "laboratory supplies", an item called a "watch glass" would fit the bill. Used in the lab to dry samples, but it is, well, a watch glass.

I know this is 4 years old and you probably won’t read this, but you mentioned how you don’t like making distinctive props that can only be used in their respective franchises, but I think the farnsworth can be utilized very well in a sort of sci-fi steampunk short film. In fact I think I’m planning on making my final production project and using the farnsworth in said final project.

Hey Jake, I'm a huge fan and i just recently started watching Warehouse 13. Now, i was watching your steampunk flash-drive filler build and i noticed something, "Hey, doesn't that vacuum thing look like a part to the Tesla?" So i was wondering if you could build the tesla gun... From the show... PLEASE! I WANT IT AND I WANT IT NOW!

Where did you get the sound effect of when the Farnsworth is answered? I'm asking because I'm trying to compile a collection of sound effects used in the show and while I already have the ringtone, I can't find the little "bwip" the device makes when answered.

This is very similar to the Star Trek communicator, except for the fact that this version has video-phone capabilities and a different flip-open mechanism... In addition, "F.A.R.N.S.W.O.R.T.H." stands for "Far Away Reconnaissance Networking System, With Optical Readout (video-phone) TecHnology".

You can also get lenses from rear projection tv's, they get rid of them all the time on craigslist (often for free if you pick them up). In my case, I was lucky enough to have my neighbor throw one away. You can also get a bunch of other fun parts from them.
@themadhacker937610 жыл бұрын
and i bet you could make a golf tee into a nifty button with some trimming and doctoring if you aren't picky about 100% accuracy. I for one would rather make it "my farnsworth" instead of copying all of the normal ones :)

Yeah dont take old automotive, industrial or fire arms parts that people might actually be trying to find to fix something and make it work again. Those glass radio dials break and people do try to replace them when the find and want to restore them.. thank you sir for having a brain
