Not too bad for making this for the first time ever.

Interesting how you did the hinge construction, sort of like a bascule bridge. Interesting how the movement of the bridge now allows for the track to be at an almost 90° angle. Hence the clearance gaps can be as narrow as feasible. Don’t think it will matter much, but for keeping the hinge in place it might be a good idea to router out the surface of the hinge plates to the appropriate depth of the plate. Also, if you use hinges with bearings, the alignment of the hinge will stay more accurate. Lastly, I would recommend to router out the trajectory for the hinge pin. This will allow for easy disassembly of the bridge, when necessary. Cool vid, great folding bridge design. Cheerio

I can add one in the next video. I will also display one on my Facebook page once I breakout the measurements on each piece. I will also add the sizes in the description of this video.
OK, handy panels are so expensive that you can buy a 4 X 8 piece for almost what 2 handy panels will cost. Also that wood you have as a 1 X 4 is actually much larger unless you have giant hands. I'm a wood worker and can see where you are going with this but for the average person it seems that it would have been better to have put this together at the layout. We'll have to see!!!!

Well, since I designed the layout and also built the layout, the bridges were already made so the layout was built to fit the bridges. There are two bridges, one is attached to a fixed table mounted to the wall and bridging to another fixed table, so that was easy. The other one attaches to a peninsula section going to the fixed table. The whole layout is very solid and doesn't move so the bridges stay in place and aligned.
