Oh you’re a dragonball fan. I like Goku and vegeta. But piccolo is still one of my favorite character. Most thing I like about piccolo is his attack move name Special beam canon.

How much water do you add roughly to your long macs? We do usually do just a double espresso shot with a dash of milk for long Mac's in our cafe.

Yeah it’s common to do a long mac without water. Are you in Aus? It’s a Melbourne thing to do it without water. We would consider that a double shot mac. It’s only a 170ml cup so maybe 120-140ml of hot water.

Yep in Melbourne. That's how I was taught anyways but it is done differently in other States I guess. Different interpretations I suppose

I'm from Melbourne and long blacks have always been double shot in hot water (+ milk for long Mach).. Never seen a long black without hot water in any cafe I've gone to anyway lol. If it's a single shot in hot water it's more closer to an Americano.

@@Amirichi yep I do my long blacks double espresso over hot water so that the crema is on top. An Americano for me is a hot water over an already extracted single or double espresso. Other States do Long Mac's differently to what Melb cafes do I guess.

Hi Long Macchiato, 2 shot and it should be like latte with a bit small amount of milk. no water, it should be. It is a lot confusion putting water there.

We call the long macchiato a reference to a long black version of a macchiato. The one you describe is a double macchiato. Cheers luke

Great vid. Question: you called the long mac a long black with a stain.. it looked like a double espresso with a stain? Can it be done that way too?

The long max has water in the cup with a double espresso then foam, the max can be either a ristretto or a normale shot with foam. The long reference is the the addition hot water to the beverage

Great video, great channel, but I was surprised by the macchiato recipes in your menu. I always made a macchiato as double shot, then integrating about 1 fl.oz. steamed milk, for a final ratio near 2 parts coffee 1 part milk. I had thought this was standard, the way nearly everyone did them, with only some variation in the ratio (eg. my 2:1 up to maximum 1:1). But I don’t see that “standard macchiato” recipe on your menu, between the short and long macchiatos.

The macchiato would have to be the most varying coffee of them all. Not sure if I’m spot on but it’s how we do them here. Cheers for the message. Jimmy

The coffee shop I manage (and the one I managed before that) don't have macchiatos on our menu, but there's a handful of customers that order them. I just train my baristas to dollop a spoonful of steamed milk on the espresso. I'm 90% sure this is the traditional way it is done. The original purpose of Macchiatos in Italy was to cut down the bitterness for customers who thought straight espresso (caffé) was too much. The spot of milk was to help distinguish a macchiato from a caffé

​@@zacharyreed2347 I noticed Italian coffee shop would just put a teaspoon full of warmed milk, just the top part which is creamiest, no froth. Only cafe latte and cappucino get milk froth.

I dont get the difference btw a Piccolo and a short macciato. Both take 1 shof of coffee and milk :s

piccolo is in a larger glass so takes more milk, also a macchiato only has a dab of milk foam rather than a full pour.
