How to Make a Ramshackle Tower // Terrain for Warhammer 40K and Necromunda

Hi there! In this video I'll show you how to scratch build a ramshackle tower out of cardboard. It should fit nicely into your games of Warhammer 40.000 (especially if you play Orks), Necromunda and Ash Wastes. Or, indeed, pretty much any game with an industrial or postapocalyptic theme.

The cardboard I used is 2 mm Grafix medium weight chipboard to be exact. Think I forgot to mention that.

Thanks! :-) I thought it might be a good idea, so it'd be easier for everyone to find them again. I can't tell you how many times, I've needed to find some info that was buried in a video about some other topic that I watched years ago. :-D Also, I can refer back to the videos, when I need to, so I don't have to go over how to make beams, stairs, barbed wire, etc. every time I need them in a build. It'll be interesting to see if I can keep this concept going in the long run.

if you want to use it for different games, but mainly Orks, you can make some orky iconography, banners, totems etc. and use magnets by mounting them on the details, and on the tower (or other terrain) you can use metal sheets to make the scrap parts and to be able to put the magnets

A superb video, as always! I used Agrax Earthsade on the wood stuf. It is bringing out the woodgrain nicely, and gives a weathered look.

Great video, just found your channel and am already loving it! You could always make a ladder that goes overtop of the building and barbed wire, but have it stowed on the floor there so it looks like the people in the tower just pull it up when they're up there!

Great build apart from what you yourself mentioned , no way to get up 😅 Also it doesn't really matter but what you call H beams are usually called I beams , think a less stylised inquisition logo I and that's where the name is from 😊 Have great day and I'm looking forward to other videos that might give ideas for my own hobbying 😊

What Brand of paint and Brushes you use

All of them! 😂 Paints: Citadel, Vallejo, AK, P3, Army Painter and others. Brushes: Windsor and Newton Series 7, Raphael 8404, DaVinci. All the miniature paints are fine and all the Kolinsky sable-hair brushes are good. 🙂 For terrain I often use cheap craft paints and cheap synthetic brushes.
