@@trumpwasbetter I actually like this stuff but had to throw a dislike simply because of the name the flag is given. It is a US flag. Too many people call it by the wrong name. I'll never change that, unfortunately.

@@MaxF01 if its a load bearing wall then you need to add a header double 2x6 will be fine to carry on stud. if its not load bearing then just cut the stud and screw through the 1x case into the stud. install some tear away bead and done. i woule make the flag .75 bigger to cover the cut out.

Great job on everything but I was really impressed with your stars. I've made 5 of these so far and my stars aren't quite as good as yours. Keep up the great work.

I been making flags for 3 years. I don’t do the hand carved stars my hand not that steady. I buy my stars from a guy that makes them on a CNC machine then glue them on using. E-6000 glue. Also, I screw my flags with 1.25” drywall screws but I see glueing and nail gun would be much quicker. Wanting to build one with RFID lock.

Yea the hand carved stars definitely take some time and they also make my hand pretty cramped up so I definitely wouldnt be able to do many of them at a time like that. I almost put one of those locks on this one but then decided not to, definitely gonna put one on when i make a fancier one👍🏼 thanks for sharing man I appreciate it 🙏🏼🇺🇸

I’m struggling with the struts in your build. I’m making a similar flag, but the struts aren’t holding in up. I bought the same struts you linked, not sure if they are in a bad location. I followed the measurements you posted too, but it’s not holding the flag up
