Just found y’all cause looking for sofa ideas . I love y’all’s accents! My Grandfather Hamilton was from London. He came to the states met and married my grandmother and lived here rest of his life .He died years before I was born as my Dad was a lot older than Mama * PS I love this sofa idea ❤❤❤

So glad to be back, the sofa build is a great idea and I thought to stop it slipping while your sitting on it you could put one of those rubber mats underneath the cushions that are normally used to stop rugs slipping. :)

The only problem is covering radiators because back cushions have nowhere to lean against except wall or radiator. I've open space all round so nowhere to lean them.

I was just thinking about you guys yesterday! How crazy! #livebutnotlive from North Dakota, USA ❤️ I love this couch idea! That would be great in my spare bedroom (which is actually just a bedroom for my cats,😶 lol) The cushion would be easy to make! I'm no sewing genius, so I think a thrifted sleeping bag and a few pillows stuffed inside with the opening against the wall would work great! You could even go the route of an inflatable pool lounger. Good to see you guys again! I hope Jamie is doing great too! ❤️

If you put holes up top you can add plywood and piano hinges to use all spots for storage when lifting cushions

Thinking about turning my conservatory into an art studio and I still want a seating area but also plenty of storage for supplies so this is literally perfect since storage sofas are so expensive!

I built one of these for my Tiny house arranged in the same way in the L shape, I got lucky though and found mine at a Goodwill store for $3 a piece I the second shelf out of mine and put to dowel rods when the shelf goes so I could create a bed for my Gf's little rat that barks that she swears is a dog. These work great for tiny houses because everything in a tiny house has to serve atleast 2 purposes. I built our platform bed out 2 dressers, also bought on the absolute cheap at Goodwill for like $15 a piece, with the other 2 sides being 2x4's cut down to 4' on the long side and 3' screwed into the wall studs with 2 pieces of 3/4" plywood cut down to 43" wide for the platform with 2 33" posts in the middle of the platform and I used the waste from that to build a 2 step step up screwed into the side of the bed to get on the bed plus to hold the 2 dressers together then used the left over 5" of left over plywood and a piece of wood lattice to build a 4' by 3' head board and then painted everything the same Barn Red color.

The units hold up very well, especially with the weight distribution. We have them for our bed too, and for even longer 👍

I'm currently circling the moon on my way to Saturn for the weekend, the view is awesome from here. Hey I think I can see you waving at me! Oh come on guys, really? You expect us to even remotely think you won't be able to make a couch out of those storage units? No way, we all know how engenius you two are. But, I'm so glad to see your faces today. However I do have a quick question, how do you keep the cushions from sliding off the pieces? Also I bet you guys are all on pins and needles because Jamie is due any day now isn't she? The cushions are quite heavy so they didn't move around but you could use some velcro stuck to the cushion and the kalax storage unit if you cushions move around 😊👌

Did you make your beaded necklaces are were they bought? Just curious. Being Native American it is the first visual that drew me in. I am not good at appliqué. Also, you could make a pull out bed with this. If you add slats under it. I love the idea, but I would rather have wooden full drawers under it. Reason why is my father in law has a hard time getting up and down now. So the sofa I am eyeing from IKEA is too low for him to get in and out of it. I do not want to put casters under it, because they will eventually indent the wooden floors in our rented apartment.

I don't make my jewellery, the one I was wearing in this video was unfortunately lost recently buy my new one I bought from a native tribe that live in the Amazon rainforest, they were in London doing an event to raise money to help save their forest. The jewellery they make is completely made by hand and is some of the most beautiful jewellery I have ever seen, I feel very blessed to be able to wear it 💚 Thank you for noticing and thank you for you comment about the sofa, I'm pretty sure you could probably do some kind of pull out bed but you might need some guidance from a carpenter :)

Good question :) They are spiritual Native American beaded necklaces all made by hand by a beautiful community that we met on our travels a few years back 🙂
