Sometimes the simplest designs are the nicest. This is a good example of that. This is genius!!!!

We have had this bench kzbin.infoUgkxNuLbiXpLQ-mKH5NlyjrNe88hiCk2N3Cg for five years now and it is still holding up strong with minimal signs of wear! So much so that I decided to get another one to store other stuff. The first one is still beautiful, strong and is easy to clean. It’s been in our living room and we store toys and blankets in it and it really holds quite a bit of stuff. I purchased a similar one two years ago from Aldi and let me tell you that one fell apart in less than six months of use. Get this one if you’re looking. Seriously worth it. Five years already and I can’t believe it looks this good and has held up for the price! Awesome bench, the new one I just got is identical.

Have you had any issues with the wood bowing from the weight? It seems like quite a span for just a sheet of plywood, especially with someone sitting on it.

I just watched your video. Really nice!!! How thick was the plywood?
@Rad-Zach Жыл бұрын
I've used similar pre-finished ply and it usually comes in 12 mm thick (just shy of 1/2") or 19mm (just shy of 3/4")

Is there any way you could post your measurements? Something to sample
@KeithDiSarno5 жыл бұрын
For anyone wondering: this is UV finished/coated plywood. I've found the 4'x8' sheets to be meh, they only have the typical 5 layers or so, with a bunch of voids. It's worth it to find the true birch 5'x5' sheets. Sofa seems decently solid, more so than I would have thought with butt joints. Some triangles or diagonal bracing would probably stiffen it up quite a bit.

Looks pretty nice! So, is the cushion just a mattress with a fitted sheet?
@Woodbrew5 жыл бұрын
We ordered one of those mattresses that are vacuumed sealed and come in a box! The sheet came with it, but it can be taken off to wash! I should’ve clarified in the video 🤦🏼♀️😅

Woodbrew it works! Looks nice with those pillows too! As good as a couch, without custom upholstery. Plus it is a comfy bed. Smart.

@@Woodbrew POSSIBLY the # question that 'new' Woodbrew fans have in the back of their head! New fans, just watch the video for the USA Map INCLUDING THE FIRST 6 MINUTES and realize what a strong and prime example these two are for young people with their heads on straight! My four youngest sons are around Dylan's age and I have had them each watch Dylan's take on finding your passion as a young adult. You two are a blast to watch. Follow up question: Dylan, are you originally from Alabama? Some of the earlier videos, your accent sounds more northern.
@Woodbrew5 жыл бұрын
And that would be the #2 question 😂😂 Yes we are were both born and raised in Alabama! And what you just said means so so so much! Thank you tremendously.
