So you exposed the big secret now 😄 👉Big Tip (for shorter render time): Keep the emitter comp size small (not 1920x1080, maybe 1920x10) Just crop the area particles are generated. And then you can decrease the particle amount per second. This will significantly reduce the render time. By the way you may want to watch one of my piano covers 😊

Did you do the entire editing in After Effects? I had thought After Effects was a separate thing just for effects but that a separate editor was still needed, such as Premier. I saw in one of your other videos you were using Final Cut Pro. Does After Effects eliminate the need for an editing program like Final Cut Pro or Premier? Thank you so much.
@GustavAstep4 жыл бұрын
Yes I did everything in After Effects. I used to use Final Cut but you can't make particle effects with Final Cut. Actually Final Cut is ok for some easy things but it's not even comparable to After Effects. And yes technically I guess you should use Premier and then only do effects in After Effects but it never came natural to me to use two programs for something that can be done in one.

Great tutorial, thank you very much! I still got a question left: 1.) Whenever I watch for example a Rousseau Video and I see his particles they somehow 'swirl' around the y-Axis in 3D space . It just looks like he added Fluid Simulations above every single key instead of just emitting the particles from a layer and pulling them up via gravity. How'd you do that? (I couldn't make both Emitter-Type Layer and Fluid Simulation work together).
@GustavAstep5 жыл бұрын
David Lemming Idk :/

If you're using an acoustic piano, you could use an already generated midi file and play the song exactly as the midi file, although that would be pretty difficult.
