Love this bowl AND the fact that men in Scandinavian countries can knit! Thanks for sharing this.

Hey Calder, thank you so much for this video. I made a bowl and was looking for inspiration for a yarn bowl. This was perfect. I’m guessing you’re self-taught, like me… With gratitude, from India!

Top tip.... never cut from the rim to the hole you cut like you did in the video, always cut from the hole out, (I've made literally thousands of yarnbowls) inside of the curl first, then outside. But reserve the third of the curl from the rim and pop it back in to help the curl dry in place (remove before firing of course!) and reduce warping and slumping during the glaze fire. Also restrict the curl to the top half or third of the bowl so there's less weight in the curl during the glaze fire. And finally, always try to make them bottom heavy. It's an asset.

I really enjoy your teaching. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us! You’re quite nice with a very relaxing voice. I really enjoyed this video. Can’t wait until I can intentionally make something! ❤️

I remember when you first started doing videos. Very creative, but not so good at throwing pieces. You have come a long way, and should be very proud of your progress.

Sooo that's what it was? I saw this type of bowls in A Pottery store or something, I thought they were decorated bowls for fruits. It could be used as that as well but I didn't know it could be used for this
