For some reason people in Mexico are and were more creative with their food and drinks. Too many restaurants claim to serve authentic Mexican food and the food is horrible. I love to cook and make homemade drinks. Thumbs up to you and your abuela. Funny, but I'm sure she was used to cooking over an open wooden fire. Her recipe doesn't use measurements cause it's all from the heart; that's where people lose the taste. This recipe is priceless.

I’m in tears watching this missing my abuela so much she’s very much alive just living in Mexico I haven’t seen her since I was 5 when I came to the US im 21 now I’m currently working on my immigration status and hopefully one day I can go down and see her and learn all her recipes to teach my kids and so on and keep my Mexican traditions in my family who is mixed with American loveeeee this video so much and your abuelita ❣️

It is so nice to see that your abuelita helps you to prepare this recipe. In Mexico, older folks are more respected than in the U.S. (I lived in Monterrey in Nuevo Leon in the 1970s). My sons girlfirend asked me to make her some champurado. ive never done it before. I came across abuelitas kitchen and fell in love. So easy to make and flavorful. It reminded me of the one my grandma use to make. Her recipe is a keeper. One I will continue to make and pass along to my children 👍👍

I use the maseca but my grandma taught me to toast the dry masa in a dry pan before she mixed it with water and then into the chocolate milk mixture. It makes the masa taste better. It kind of tasted like pinole. It was delicious.

I was raised by my abuela so I was use to all of our great Mexican dishes. Then I got married and he won't try new things. But now that we have a daughter they're no stopppig me I want her to trying so I needed a refresher and this was amazing loved it!
