How to make cold process SOAP STONES, soap rocks, and making soap stone mold. Soap Challenge Club

These cold process soap stones rocks were my entry for the July 2020 Soap Challenge, where we had to make natural soap stones rocks.
I wanted to makes stones that had a great natural shape and felt good to hold and use, so I made my own soap rock molds from real stones. I show you how to make a soap stone rock mold in this tutorial.

At first I thought "oh you're going into too much detail. I don't need to know all of that." I was so wrong and was pleasantly delighted to watch it all and how it all came together. It's an excellent video and an inspiration. Anyone would be happy to have these in their bathroom as an accent. I can already imagine them in a high end bathroom. I can't wait to see next month's challenge.

I don't go right back into weighing and mixing all the oils etc, but it can be difficult to strike the right balance because everyone wants different things. I love this tutorial! I am a huge rock fan and when I'm outside I rarely look at where I'm going because I am afraid I will miss seeing a beautiful rock who might find it's way into my pocket. People say I should look where I'm going but I guess I like to live dangerously. Okay, I'm not THAT bad, but still. I appreciate that you added instructions on how to make our own rock moulds, that will be so handy! These rock soaps you've made are beautiful. I get much more inspiration from you than from other soap creators, perhaps because you put so much of yourself into everything you make. Wow, Lisa, you must have the patience of a saint! Making the molds first! What an endeavor. I love watching your videos. Talk about hot- I live in South Florida and along with the pandemic, we have been threatened by a hurricane. Fortunately it was downgraded to a tropical storm and not doing as much damage - but where I live - on the Treasure Coast - it has been very windy and rainy. Lucky though as we have not lost power or had any real problems. Thanks for showing us your talent!
