You don’t have to go to a fancy restaurant to get Crème brûlée when you can easily make it at home. This classic crème brûlée will surely impress your guests at your next dinner party.
Ingredients:
2 cups of heavy cream
5 egg yolks
1/2 cup of sugar (Plus some extra four the crust)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Fresh fruit for topping

Preheat your oven to 325°. Mix your eggs and sugar together thoroughly while heating up the cream and vanilla. Once the cream and vanilla mixture reaches a temperature of about 170°, or just under boiling, temper the eggs by slowly stirring in the heated cream. This will then be transferred carefully in to soufflé cups. You will now please the cups into a water bath and carefully put it into the oven for 40 minutes where it will gently cook. After 40 minutes the tops of the mixture in the cups should jiggle when tapping the cups. Carefully remove the cups and place them into the fridge until they’re fully chilled and set. Once they are set sprinkle sugar over the top and carefully Brulé them. Top with your favorite fresh fruits and dig in!
