How to make DAIWA or SHIMANO reel perform better?

In this video you will see how to replace BALL BEARINGS in the REEL's KNOB. Nothing ground-breaking here really but a simple little tip which will make your reel last longer and get better feeling whilst using it! It's cheap improvement as well!

I got these for my shimano vanford 2500, Daiwa 2500D and 1000D. I found the vanford already have metal but the 2 Daiwas worked out great after replacing the blk plastic ones, thanks!!

Interesting, thank you Andrew Most people wouldn't have gone to that length they would just replace the knob and tiny plastic bearing sleeves when they wear out if at all.

Hi Andrew, just bought a Daiwa prorex LT 2000, like it but i feel like it's too much play in the handle and in the knob (no screw attached) so can't put an extra washer. Do you know if i can find a better handle that fits this reel on Ali ? Thanks for your help and keep on the good work on KZbin.... Your vidéos are great help and entertaining. Cheers

Just a heads up,the new Diawa legalis LT you can’t change the handle knob bushings. No screw to remove the knob,Only option would be custom handle i guess.
