Yum!!! My Mom used to make that when I was a kid. We had jars of it that we used all year long. There's nothing better than canned pear jelly!

Those pears can also be used to make pear wine. Which is fairly expensive to buy at a wine shop . It's not very hard to do although you do have to pay attention to the details. Cleanliness , etc. It's simply another way to enjoy the fruits of your labors later this winter.

Have you ever done a pepper jelly? I'd like to find one just a bit of heat. Thoughts? I have a TON of poblanos and bells this year. What milder peppers do you think might make a good jelly that I might grow next year?

@@joannthompson765 , Commercial honey is sealed in bottles in a process similar to canning. Although I think that they use steam rather than boiling water.
