If I made the mistake of reducing too fast or too much, yes. I had to go back up slightly a time or two.

How long are these good for once you make them?

This recipe makes a fairly small batch, and the oils act as natural preservatives (if you're using quality ones like those here: www.hopeessentials.org). I always use mine up within a week or so, so I can't say for sure about longer than that.

I'm not sure what you mean by "normal"? These oils are the highest quality and intended for internal use, unlike the vast majority of other "essential oils," which I would never ingest. Or diffuse or use topically, for that matter. Www.hopeessentials.org
