Can you share info on how you built your greenhouse.. Your irrigation system isba great idea
@HomesteadinHawaii10 ай бұрын
It's a pretty simple build. Just some Ohia Logs on the four corners, some header wood, bracing and a roof framed on top to hold it all together, Then I added an old security door I had onto it. But I could try get it in a video in more detail.

I was thinking about drip irragation system and suddenly this popped up into my head, i used to watch alot of anime growing up, and then i googled it and this was the first video that came up. This gave me the last bit of motivation that i needed and now i'll do it, get to it like tommrow.

Im wondering though when u don't have sustainable water sources,cause were a bit far from any river, we use hose in school but can't let us use it overtime so i was wondering how do i increase a capacity of water,im using a 10 litter bottle but it can only last like 2 hours

I love your greenhouse and bamboo irrigation system!! Your plants are so healthy! The greenhouse is all screened in? I completely understand given rat lung and pests with ferocious appetites. May I ask how are the pollinators able to access your tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, etc?
@HomesteadinHawaii4 жыл бұрын
I plant varieties that dont need pollination for the ones that would ordinarily require pollinators. So far so good!

Terrific concept that I would like to use here in Arizona for the garden and also to direct condensation from the a/c into the pool. Any recommendations on where to order the appropriate kind of bamboo?
@HomesteadinHawaii3 жыл бұрын
Idk what you have there in Arizona. Hollowed out cactus?
@vvgmhod43 жыл бұрын
Am attempting to determine the best kind of bamboo to use for this kind of application, as well as a supplier. In the past, I was able to order 3" diameter bamboo for another project from Ace Hardware, but that is no longer an option.

Very interesting. I was just thinking about bamboo drip system and then I came across your video. I have question: How did you make the holes in the bamboo?
@HomesteadinHawaii3 жыл бұрын
I used a drill. I think they were about as big as a pencil. Too big all the water runs through. Too small they get clogged

Tought the same thing, it could be better I think if it was bellow ground and not cut, so there is no evaporation and the plant gets more water out of less water. Great stuff, thanks !
@HomesteadinHawaii4 жыл бұрын
That is a good idea because I have to be sure its cleaned out from all the leaves that fall into it now. That might be version 2.0. Thanks for watching!
