Yes, I used to live in southern Spain, and the hot chocolate was heavenly. The best of all came from a posh café in Granada, where the chocolate was so thick, my teaspoon nearly stood up in it on its own! When I asked for a second cupful, the waiter looked at me like I was bonkers, coz it's such a rich drink, but I was hungry, and it was divine! 😆
@Ünderdog-777-862 ай бұрын
Fr I'm from the US and most of the chocolate here is way too sweet and doesn't have enough cream. You'd taste the sugar more than anything. But good chocolate isn't very affordable (my family is poor and for us it's expensive to get good chocolate) and most people in the US prefer the chocolate they're used to.
@Ünderdog-777-862 ай бұрын
@@lsamoa German chocolate is good too.

I actually pour the cocoa powder with cinnamon into a strainer then dust into the milk. It's slower and gives a better incorporation (zero clumping). Did this as it works with macadamia or high fat almond milk as a lactose free version. I find using any bar above 65% dark chocolate makes the mix uncomfortably bitter.
@andyoli757 ай бұрын
Also, I would add the vanilla at the end when melting the chocolate so you lose less of the volatile vanilla compounds.
