Great video. Let me add something, another crucial aspect to lofi is bit reduction/sample rate reduction on the drums plus filtering out the highs. That’s how they punch but are still dark. Also get your drums from actual vintage drum breaks and then compress the he’ll out of them, that’s how you make lofi that actually sounds like 2017 lofi. Most lofi drum kits are hot garbage

you say the sample machine is cassette and rc-20, but its decapitator, not rc-20!! also its vts2 in the rack, i use vst3 so the rack is empty =(
