How to Make Lomi Lomi Salmon Traditional Hawaiian luau dish

A delicious traditional Hawaiian dish.
8 oz. salmon (salted with Hawaiian/rock salt for 24 hours)
2 tomatoes, diced small
about 3/4 of a large onion, diced small
Green onion (eyeball this), cut thinly
Mix all together. Let sit for at least a few hours before eating.

I don't think we tried this when I visited? Love salmon (especially smoked and/or raw in sushi) so I know I would love this.

Hi Jayden, I just put some/not too much Hawaiian salt on top of the salmon in a glass pan, covered it up and left it overnight. Thanks for watching!

Aloha Beth, I just noticed in your recipe, you have tomato listed twice. One of them should be round onion. :)

soo don't understand...never been to Hawaii but my chef learned under a chef there for many years. Anyways he taught me that you NEED to massage the tomatoes and salmon otherwise don't call it lumi lumi...anyways we also only use the skin with a small potion of the meat and we juice the rest of the tomatoes and no seeds allowed. But yeah ...
