In my experience it's not the size that matters, it's the technique, which you illustrated beautifully here!

Can see every detail .. the vortex is so cool too .. such an illusion love it x love em both .. thanks so much for sharing mini versions xx

Great project. I've watched a couple of your videos and I see you use what looks like a paintbrush to put on your UV resin. Do you throw it away afterwards or do you wash it out? Any particular kind of bristles? Thanks a bunch for all the detail.
@resinAce4 жыл бұрын
Thank you 😁 The paintbrushes are 12 for £1 from my local craft store. You can either clean them up with Isopropyl Alcohol (rubbing alcohol) or just store them in a dark, air tight container. www.therange.co.uk/arts-and-crafts/art-supplies/painting/art-brushes/all-purpose-brushes/royal-and-langnickel-natural-hair-brush-set/#221570

Hi. I have a question please. I coloured my clear casting resin in a plastic cup with 3 drops of pigment and the colour was just right - while curing however the resin heated up and took all the colour out ! - did I use too much hardener perhaps ( the ratio is stated as 1-3%) I used 2% ?💕🦆
@resinAce5 жыл бұрын
Hi, are you using polyester resin or epoxy resin? Polyester resin catalyst can kill certain types of pigment. Whenever using polyester resin you should always select pigments that are specifically compatible with that type of resin. I use epoxy resin in most of my projects, which may not always be suited to polyester.
@pamcullen5375 жыл бұрын
I’m pretty certain it’s epoxy resin 🤔🦆
@resinAce5 жыл бұрын
@@pamcullen537 How interesting. I would still suspect a compatibility issue between the pigment and the catalyst. If you link your brand of resin I can take a look at the technical datasheet and see if I can spot anything obvious.
@pamcullen5375 жыл бұрын
The resin I am using is from Tricell. I think I may have sussed the problem - the pigment was advertised as ‘Epoxy resin pigment, 15 colours epoxy UV resin dye liquid transparent for highly concentrated epoxy resin , diy jewellery making supplies ‘.... therefore I imagine for UV resin only. Sorry to have been a bit dense, will try on UV resin and see how it works. Many thanks 🙏💕🦆

I actually had third degree burns on my fingers from a hot glue gun. It went thru the foam I was putting glue on, so I grabbed it off with my other hand... which the hot glue ended up burning and I grabbed it again with the hand first burnt. I ended up with 7 fingers burnt, all completely losing their skin and all. It was extremely painful.
