How to make my favourite Bangladeshi breakfast | Paratha, omelette with potato bhajee...

Get ready to be Inspired!
Ingredients:
Paratha:
3 cups self rising flour
1 egg
1 tsp salt, 1.5 tsp sugar
1 cup milk "please use initiative as explained in tutorial".
Ghee for brushing on to paratha and for frying
Flour for dusting the surface area
Aloo bhajee:
3 medium red potatoes or Morris pepper / King Edwards
1 diced onion
1 diced tomato
2-4 green chilli
2 tbsp ghee & 2 tbsp oil
1/2 tsp Punch Phoron
1.5 tsp salt
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
Coriander to garnish
Omelette:
3 medium eggs
1/2 diced tomato
1/2 diced onion
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
2-4 tbs oil for frying
Coriander for garnish

Made the potato bhajee and paratha tonight: really easy and delicious! I’m usually rubbish at making chapatis and naan, so I expected this to go badly too, but somehow it worked perfectly and even my OH didn’t realise it was homemade! Thank you for another fab recipe!

My mum has recommended you to use ground black pepper in your omelettes, as well as red onion for more taste and colour. You upload some great videos nonetheless!

That would be a good breakfast dish. The 'mamlet' was overdone some, but I like the mix in it and I would add some water into the mix before pouring in. This makes it soft and fluffy. I need to get that Panch phoron spice mix. Thanks for posting.

As well as learning useful techniques and what certainly seem to be delicious dishes, I also got the giggles when Latif pronounced that one of the dishes was 'not too spicy' and then broke into coughs, which is a sure sign that chillies are making their presence felt! Perhaps not quite the dishes for a breakfast in the UK unless there are Bangladeshi street food vendors nearby, or if a family member is willing to get out of bed at silly-o'clock in the morning to start preparation!

About 5 days in the fridge, but I tend to keep what I’m going to use over the next day or so in the fridge then portion out the rest into smaller containers or freezer bags and freeze the rest, keeps for about 3 months easily in the freezer.

Assalamualaikum, so did you use all-purpose flour or self-rising flour? because you're saying all purpose but it's written down self rising.

Its self rising flour. I told my guys to give me all purpose flour however they gave me self rising flour. Please use self rising flour for this recipe. My team were confused so therefore I corrected this by writing it on the video

😅 Bengladeshi Breakfast is change, now we eat loaf 🍞, dry fish, Beef bacon 🥓, eggs omelette and cheese and coffee 😋😋😋😋☕☕☕☕😋😋 in the Breakfast and pancakes also 😺😋. Now this is breakfast 🤤 thing.

Enjoyable videos, great recipes and tasty food. Its sad though that way back when you were learning someone told you that haldi was pronounced Chew-merr-ick... It's actually pronounced Turmeric. The clue is in the spelling. As an influencer its essential you communicate truth to your students. Blessings my brother.

It’s not called Mumlett. It’s because Bengali people couldn’t pronounce Omlette, eventually became “Mumlett”….. Other examples are syaar (chair), mashtor (master), iskool (school) and biskoot (biscuit).
