Bowls
Soap mold
Rubber spatula
Thermometer
Large spoon
Double broiler
Protective eyewear
Closed toed shoes
Gloves
Measuring spoon
Soap cutter
Cling wrap optional
Soap stamp optional
INGREDIENTS
Argan Oil 3.40 oz
Olive Oil 17.0oz
Castor OIL 1.70 oz
Coco butter 5.10 oz
Coconut Oil 6.80
Distilled Water 9.42oz
Sodium Hydroxide (Lye) 4.68oz
Colloidal oats 2 tbsp
Note- I personally do a water discount to reduce soda ash. The amount of the water listed DOES include the discount.
I also allow my soaps to go through the gel phase so I cover the tops and let them sit for 24-48 hours before cutting them.

You can easily add your colloidal oats to your liquid oils and beat it in with your blender before adding the lye water 😉

Hey, were you able to unmold it? If so, it takes about 4-6 sometimes 8 weeks to cure. The longer it sits the harder the bar. If you are on instagram message me.

I think if you'd mix the powder with a little bit of water, and Not with the lye, and add it to the soapy batter, you'd get a much 'blue-er' color. Lye usualy transforms everything.....

Thank you. I’ve tried that before multiple times and always ended up getting a green color even after changing my recipe. I’ve been using the same powder so that maybe the problem 🤣🤣. I might look into using a different powder. Thanks for the advice.

@@3baashandmadesoaps937 well then, the last try mix it up with a bit of oil. You might be surprised. Powders mixed differently, offer different hues, like madder root: in water, will give you purple, and in oil, will give you pink;). So, take a try in oil!;).....

Hello, how do you calculate water discount amount to reduce soda ash?

Hi, so you do 90% times (multiply) the total water amount. For example if your recipe calls for 11.34 oz of water you would enter 90% x 11.34= 10.20. So your new water weight would be 10.20. Hope this helps if you need more info definitely check out brambleberry.com as she explains more discount options.
