I found your content because I was feeling nostalgic for my Abuelo, it felt nice to find people who cook the way he used to, I wasn't very connected to my own Puerto Rican heritage as a kid so it felt nice to find something that reminded me of him and the things he did get to teach me before he passed. Love rellenos de papa one of my favorites to eat when we visit the huts at Loiza. Thanks for always sharing your expertise in the tecture of these rellenos for not everyone love to use eggs as you said I also think it makes the batter heavy. I am going to be making these later on today in honor of The National Puerto Rican Heritage Celebration Parade. But, I quite honestly don’t ever use cornstarch. Can these be made with just all purpose flour, and all of the other ingredients you mentioned minus the cornstarch? Please help

You can try but the cornstarch really helps. Potatoes have a lot of moisture

Yes!! Just make sure you wrap them well and separate them from each other so they don’t stick in the freezer.

That's a great question Jeanette! Honestly, I've never tried it but would have to think there's a way to do it. You'll definitely want to make sure the dough is really dry, or else I'd be concerned about it falling apart while it bakes.

Cook them at a higher temperature and yes, try to remove as much moisture out of the potatoes as you can.

Pedro, gracias por ver el video y su comentario. No sé donde usted se crió o vive actualmente, pero rellenos de papa son sumamente común en Puerto Rico. En cualquier cafeteria o kiosko donde venden frituras siempre hay rellenos de papa. Pedro, bienvenido desde Cuba a nuestro canal! Me parece entonces que los rellenos de papa son común en Cuba también pero eso no invalida que sean populares en Puerto Rico y es una receta que a los puertorriqueños nos gusta mucho.

Well, I can guarantee that I ate it and it didn't kill me 🤣 Think it might have been out of the freezer, so perhaps that contributed.

Meat oxidizes with oxygen and loses the pink color. Def not rotten

You lost me at shock your potatoes... amateur and rookie. You let them steam out silly goose. The cold water would only be absorbed, diluting the flavor.
