Interesting recipe, I will definitely try it. A little trick: if you're frying a steak, it's better to give oil to the meat than to the pan. You get the same non-stick effect, but less smoke - there's not so much oil around the meat on the pan which burns a bit.

Looks delicious. I really need to try this. I don't have a sous vide stick, but I have an electric tea kettle which heats the water to a selected temperature and keeps it there. I will try to cook the roast beef in it 😁

oh wow, never heard of such, but if it can keep a certain temperature, then it works as a sous vide, no problem!

I assume you had one with Wagyu. In this video I used regular local (German) beef, so of course it might not be as good, but close enough I think.

I think I'll swap a tight fitting glass/ceramic/steel container and lid for the plastic bag and use it like a double boiler. As long as the sauce submerges the meat, it should be close to the original. I've seen small oblong ceramic dishes that might work.

Hi! This looks really interesting and I want to give it a try, but I am a bit concerned about cooking in the ziplock. Is it just a regular ziplock or a special one ? I am not a fan of plastics and heat touching food !
@taijiskitchen
@taijiskitchen 28 күн бұрын
look on the package of your ziplock, it should say somewhere what plastic it is made of and what temperature range it can be used. most ziplock bags are made of Polyethylene (PE) and can be used up to 90 or sometimes 100 °C.

oh stimmt, das hab ich vergessen zu erklären. also du kannst einfach in andere Gerichte anwenden, wo Eier drin sind, wie z.b. Pfannkuchen, Omelette usw.

Since this is for a single serving, what is the weight of the beef? It looked like about 200 grams of steak, cut 3/4 in thick. So what type of Beef?
