To prepare surfactant and lye free soap - take a glass beaker - put 32 grams of kaolin clay powder into the beaker - 15 grams of oatmeal powder - add 10g of goat milk powder, goat milk powder can be replaced with coconut milk powder - mix all these powders well - after mixing keep the beaker aside - take a second glass beaker - put 20 grams of cocoa butter into the beaker - now melt the cocoa butter using the double boiler method - after it has been melted then add 10g of shea butter to the hot melted butter - mix until the shea butter melts - add 13 grams of either olive oil avocado oil macadamia nut oil or grapeseed oil to the beaker - mix the oils to blend them well - add your melted butters and oils to the kaolin clay, oatmeal powder and goat milk powder mixture - then mix till all the ingredients blend well - when the mixture is well blended and smoothed pour it into your soap mould, you can add colour and perfume if you wish - away from direct sunlight in a cool corner in the house for two days to Harden or in the fridge for 24 hours. - after two days remove your printing bar from the mould and it is ready to be used - cleansing bar can be used for the face and body

I made this soap today, I added the same amount of ingredients, I had one problem it never got smooth, I blended for at least 20min with a plastic spoon by hand and it still felt gridded, I was not able to pour in the mold I had to spoon it in the mold I didn’t and any color or fragrant.

Wanna Know Dear Cecil- Is this soap completely chemical free? Asking as I am looking for a completely chemical free easy soap making process. So ..in all soap making process videos, soap base is used as base but that includes a lot of chemicals including lye and stearic acid, alcohol etc where as in this soap, U didn't use any soap base which is really good and I felt as if it has solved my purpose of finding a chemical free soap. However, while looking ur another video of papaya cream making process, I found that u shared cocoa butter carries stearic acid..so again I got confused because here in making this soap U used cocoa butter which carries stearic acid so again this process is also not chemical free. Thank you so much for watching the video. Yes, the cleansing bar is chemical free, it does not foam and it does not harden like normal soap. The stearic acid in cocoa butter does not make the ingredient unnatural. It is the same as protein in meat. It may only be a problem if you are allergic to one or more, or all, of the fatty acids in cocoa butter. The table below shows the four major fatty acids in cocoa butter and in what concentrations they are present: Stearic Acid Saturated: 33.2% Oleic Acid Monounsaturated: 32.6% Palmitic Acid Saturated: 25.4% Linoleic Acid Polyunsaturated: 2.8% Hope this helps.

Litterally, everything in the world/universe is a chemical. Do you mean "natural"? You can look up wood ash soap that uses naturally formed lye from fire ash. It's just oils, water, and ash to make the soap.

Hey sweetie lady, I made this recipe about a week ago, the only thing I didn’t purchase was the oatmeal, I had oatmeal in my cupboard so I blended it to a power, i follower your recipe, I let it set by the second day it was still soft so I gave it a week and a few day, I used it today and there was know bubbles, also I had to spoon it in and it had a gritty feel, what did I do wrong

@Evelyn Lands, thank you for your feedback. Someone else mentioned that their soap did not harden. The soap doesn't bubble and it doesn't foam like a normal soap with lye and oils. It is a little softer than the normal soap, but you should still be able to take it out of the mould with your hand.

it is impossible to make a true soap without lye, its needed to make the oils saponify, foaming cleansing bars/beauty bars are made up of surfactant's. for this recipe to foam and bubble you need a surfactant a mix of powdered and liquid, however im gonna use this as an after shower moisture bar when i make it.

lathery as in bubbly? it wont at all only soaps with lye will lather. This is basically oil and clay mixed together and only harden because the oils used harden at room temp. Youd be better off just using olive oil or tallow and like the romans did and a small metal scrapper and cleaning yourself with that. I havent tried this but id be willing to bet your skinn feels oily after .
