Phil. I’ve been turning for 8-9 years now. I stopped about a year ago because I was getting bored with round shapes. After watching you and your “odd” shapes I’ve been inspired to start turning again. And want to start making videos too. Keep it up sir. You are very talented!

Although not your original plan, but as turners i believe the wood shows us what it wants to be and our job is to listen and create something that highlights the natural beauty that was hiding inside. Cant wait to see what u spin up next

An absolutely delightful bowl Phil. I don't recall if I have watched any of your other Olive turnings but even if I have I am now going to check them all out. As usual, a very considered piece with all the Phil Anderson considerations & sensitivity we have come to expect in your turning & in the production of your videos. I love that you decided to finish with the Howards Feed n Wax. I think it is such a brilliant product that gives fantastic results. Cheers my friend, Don from South Australia.

Yes olive is a great wood to turn, can be a little hard and is often a little moist still. Takes forever to dry out. I thought you may have left the bit sticking up on rim and undercut it so rim was thinner and bit was whole. However turned out great Phil. You often turn other peoples wood that was given to you, do you have much wood that you have collected to turn. Not complaining as I really enjoy the variety you get and turn.

I had a pretty good collection of wood that I bought from a turner but I turned all that before I started my channel. Good wood near me is hard to come by. 😊
