I clicked on the video as fast as I could! Recently, I have been struggling to combine full-time work (with commuting to the office), studying three weekends a month, everyday learning, cooking, taking care of the house and the need to exercise. I feel overwhelmed, tired, not to mention the lack of time for my loved ones... I wonder if it is even possible to do "everything".

For me, my non-negotiables are my journaling and meditation practices. I figure out my energy levels doing these practices and then I can structure my day from there. Usually it works, but sometimes it can backfire on me, especially if I'm in analysis paralysis.

Spending time with my six children and husband, meditating on the Word with prayer are the top two essentials for me. Thank you for your guidance to fit everything in (I hope I can). Appreciate the template suggestion, it might help loads. Aileen, love your sweet nature.

I think one of my non negotiables in my weekly activity is having a good sleep. Having an 8 or 7 hour of sleep at night really fuels not just my body bit also my happy soul. I also love my naps during weekends because it is one way my body relaxes and my mind from the buzz of life. 🥰🥰I love this idea. thank you ate aileen

Thanks for the video Aileen. I love how you make everything sound very simple. I remember when I came off anti depressants I worked at developing a healthy routine for myself. Some things I’d do daily, some weekly or fortnightly. Ten years later I’m still doing most of those things, but they feel part of my routine and don’t take much effort. One of the important comments you made was to tweak it to make it work for yourself. We’re all different, so different things will work for different people. Be patient when developing your routine, there’s no right or wrong way to do it. Keep up the great work and keep shining😊

I love this so much. Thank you. I stumbled across this video just today without looking and it’s exactly what I needed. I’ve been feeling so frustrated with running out of time to meet all of my goals. I constantly feel like I’m racing against time and like there’s not enough, but really, I’ve known that I need to be more mindful of how I spend my time.

I used to plan too much and didin't do almost anything at the end of the day)) exept from routine that needs to be done and I felt frustrtrated when I realised that all my days were filled with boring chores only. I plan less now and I prioritize some stuff that important to my selfcare, try to do them first thing in the morning when I have more energy or just do them no matter what. So I guess now my selfcare routins are 10 min yoga every morning, 30 min reading every night, some face masks 2 times a week, pool and sauna once a week. I'd like to meet my friends more often, so it is probably a good idea to plan some activity for the weekends too.

Would love love to include this in my life but having toddler in life is just makes it impossible.. taking out time for exercise n meditation in morning is something i am able to manage and i am so proud of myself.. but really appreciate what u have shown Aileen.. I have to practice more on guitar and exercise Aileen you were reading my mind. My exercise is about one hour a day in the morning and I also play and practice piano I plan to buy a drum set and learn bass guitar which I already have. 😎

I would like for one of my non-negotiable activities for 2024 to be drawing, but I haven't been inspired so it feels like a drag to do it. Still, I know from experience that it just takes getting started! If anyone else is feeling the same way, I recommend just starting off with small doodles and letting that count, then working your way up to more full drawings. :)

My 2-3 non-negotiables would be, stretch, workout & sleep early. I've def fallen off the rails with my routines. It's really hard to keep them AND be fluid at times. So at least I'm starting off with these. If I really can only have 2 non-negotiables it would be stretch and sleep early. Working out, I somehow end up doing regardless because of snowboarding every week, now it's about to be twice a week. In April, when the season ends, I'll be back to once a week.

So I'll set these in order of priorities 1.) I do my morning routine in an hour and a half I do my meditations, workout, and yoga. I generally look at it as a bundle in a certain time frame. Like things are done in that bracket of time. 2.) Getting enough sleep.

I think my biggest issue with selfcare is that I tend get irritated by working shifts, leading to me not being able to get a constant routine. Same with doctor appointments. I feel like I easily get drained from stuff like that, that it's hard to find the energy to take care of Myself
