Your recipe calls for active dry yeast and I have instant yeast? Do I still have to proof with instant yeast?
@ThePlantBasedKitchen3 жыл бұрын
I’ve never used instant yeast for this recipe but I’d assume you can skip the first rise phase and jump straight into rolling the rolls right after you kneed the dough. Then you can see if they rise any more during the second phase before baking.

I am allergic to soy so could unsweet plain almond milk or coconut milk be used instead? And can I use veggie oil instead of the grapeseed? Also I dont have the stand mixer just a hand one! Please let me know thank you!!
@ThePlantBasedKitchen3 жыл бұрын
Yes to the first two! I think the dough might be too thick for a hand mixer but you could try. If not you could always flour a surface and kneed by hand once the dough starts to get too thick for your hand mixer.

I only have oatmilk and I’m worried it’ll change the flavor too much. Would substituting the milk for more water make it too runny or bland??🤔 I don’t want to wait to get soy milk, I want these rolls ASAP!😄
@ThePlantBasedKitchen3 жыл бұрын
I think oat milk would be creamy and delicious! Give it a shot, I don’t think the flavor difference would be super noticeable.

oat milk and soy milk are my faves and I swap them quite often depending on what I have around

Hi, thanks for this video.. Can I sub the shoot milk for coconut milk and the grapeseed oil for coconut oil?
@ThePlantBasedKitchen2 жыл бұрын
Of course! I’ve never personally tried those but it’s worth a shot. Let me know how it goes and if you can taste the coconut.

Can i sub grapeseed with sunflower and soy with almond?
@ThePlantBasedKitchen3 жыл бұрын
Any non flavored oil with a high smoke point should do. As for the milk, almond milk tends to be a bit more watery so you’d have to give it a shot. Not sure how it’ll affect the flavor

Will this work with gluten free flour?
@ThePlantBasedKitchen3 жыл бұрын
Gluten free flour tends to act weird when I’ve tried baking with it. So honestly I’m not sure but you’re more than welcome to try :) I’d assume you’d need to make some slight adjustments to the recipe since baking is like chemistry. If you change one thing you’ll have to balance it out.

@@ThePlantBasedKitchen Thanks. I am an experienced home baker and, because of Covid economic difficulties, am willing to try selling baked goods. But a lot of people are doing that. Thing is, no one is selling vegan bread, and I found a restaurant willing to buy and I hit a niche. So off to baking vegan I go.

@@ThePlantBasedKitchen I see. Interesting. Is this stuff like a margarine? I tend to avoid artificial made fats, but it's interesting. Maybe I just do a bit of oil instead. Other than that, absolutely amazing receipt. I have to try. Thanks
@ThePlantBasedKitchen2 жыл бұрын
@@STUDIO-ew8dz there’s a lot of different brands out there for vegan butter. The one I use is made from cashews. You can browse the butter section at the grocery store for what vegan options you have to see if the ingredients work for you.
