Love your videos! So blessed to have found your channel. If I don't have access to raw milk, it's there another option?

Fantastic. So much easier than other recipes!!!!! Yesterday, I watched your oatmeal bake recipe and I cannot wait to try it. It looks nice and creamy instead of like most recipes that are dry.

I make yogurt, but it has some challenges. Thank you for sharing your method, I am going to add more cultured yogurt and some"older milk". All the best!

Just moved to Texas and I’m having such a hard time finding raw milk here, i guess I’ll have to try whole milk. But raw is just so much better. Love the video

That’s a neat trick to let the yogurt rest overnight before stirring! I’ll try that next time! I just made yogurt last night in my IP!

I love that this easy way actually worked ! I have tried many other IP recipes. This is the easiest and most successful. My question is: With the container you save until next time, should I just keep it in the fridge? Or freeze it?

Just found your channel! Instapot is on my wish list. I have a small yogurt maker that uses the little glasses but would be nice to make larger batches. You are also lucky to source raw milk! My state sadly doesn't allow. Right away I noticed your currier and ives dishes! My husband is a huge collector.

I make yogurt like this I place four liters in a pot and place it on medium low and once it's about to boil i turn off the stove, wait for it to cool. The way I test it I place my pinky finger in and if I can hand the the temperature then it's the right time to add the yogurt, I only add one cup of yogurt to the four liters mix it well in the hot milk, place the top lid for the pot and place a wool blanked over the pot and live it until the next day and the thickness of the yogurt even bett then the sto bought and that's it

How long does the yogurt last in the fridge
@laurielyon18922 жыл бұрын
Okay, so you make yours in instant pot. My instant pot doesn't have yogurt setting. I'm the main one that eats it so when I make it, I use 1/2 gallon of milk, get it to 180 degrees on stove top and then turn off. Then I turn my oven on to the lowest setting of 170 and turn oven light on. Once it gets down to 110 I add the culture and it fills 4-pint jars. I put them on cookie sheet, turn off the oven but leave light on and put them into the oven. I usually do this at night before bed and then when I get up in the morning, I just take them out of the oven, put canning lids and rings on them and put in the refrigerator.

@@urbanhomesteadingchannel1813 I like that I can use my own yogurt now and I don’t have to buy the culture anymore. I probably use about 1/2 cup of the culture. May not have to use that much, but I always have and I don’t mess with something that works. Lol

Hi. What would be a great substitute if I don’t have an Instapot? May I use store bought yoghurt instead when making the baked oatmeal?
@HeartwayFarms2 жыл бұрын
Hello! Yes for sure. Plain and unsweetened yogurt would work great! That is our go-to when we do not have homemade at the ready :-)

@@HeartwayFarms Thank you for replying so quickly! ☺️ I am not sure where to get raw milk here in the Philippines. What would be a great substitute for raw milk? If I do not have an Instapot, where else could I prepare the yoghurt?
