Good video. I have a couple additions-the socket size is 8mm or you can use 5/16". To keep them bolts in the proper places, I have a piece of foam that I shove them into, in the pattern that they go into the CVT cover. The foam was packing material in a microwave box and I also use it to kneel on while working on the scooter. Just like those foam gardening pads. But you can also just shove them bolts through a piece of cardboard to keep them in order

The rollers affect acceleration/top speed by momentum. Higher weight rollers take longer to spin to a higher rpm, but do not lose momentum as easy as low weight rollers due to conservation of momentum. This means lower weights accelerate faster, and higher weights accelerate slower, but higher weights carry more momentum thus more speed. This also explains why it would take more effort for the engine to start as it takes longer for those heavy rollers to build momentum. Hope this explains it to people 😁

That tool you kept referring to as a torque wrench is actually called an impact driver or impact gun. A torque wrench is like a socket wrench but it has number on it to manually torque down nuts and bolts. The socket size for the bolts around the cvt cover are 5/16 or 8mm. 2 longer bolts at the rear of the cvt cover. The part on the variator fan is a nut not a bolt as you kept referring to bit as. You give good information on what to do but please call things what they are.

Hello my friend I love to go on the highway but here in Florida to many crazy drivers so I prefer secondary street the best variator weight for the long run will be a little heavier to have less vibration and the best will be 14 grams or above until 19 grams more for top end speed but less torque . Hello, im getting an new scooter tomorrow. And im a bigger guy, im 6'2" around 240lbs. The scooter im getting is almost new. It has 400 miles on it and is a 150cc. Hello Verb. I have found out that my scooter runs best with 3 of the variator weights removed. Factory 6 rollers 6.5 gram each. Too heavy. 0 to 20 mph very fast. But nothing over 20mph. I removed 3 weights. Leaving 19.5 gram in variator. Scooter goes from 0 to 37 mph good enugh for me. My question is, is it safe to only run 3 weights? Or should i run 6 weights at 3 gram?

Hello my friend for me if the motor is made and design to run with 6 weight could and should be a reason but sometime for sport racing reason they do crazy tricks to run the scooter at the best performance for very short time if you run the scooter with 3 weight you could wear your roller weight a lot faster if one of the weight breaks more or wear more one then the other could you bend the shaft ? I don't know but I will not take my chance

Yes, upgrading a 200cc scooter for speed is possible. Install a big bore kit, performance exhaust, or high-flow air filter for power. Modify the CVT with lighter roller weights and a performance variator. Tune the carburetor , upgrade the CDI, and improve tires and suspension for enhanced control and speed. Do I suggest to do all that my answer is Nope for many reasons

Hi Oliver if you change to 10g on a 150cc scooter you will get more torque and you will only decrease your speed if you put to light weight rollers in but If your scooter engine does not have the power on lower RPMs your scooter will gain little more top speed is all about testing before to close the cvt cover go for a test drive because you can adjust or mix and mach your weight to find the right balance of your roller weight to you scooter or your personal taste because changing weight will give you a different feeling of performance. Hi Lourdes nice performance 85Km/h love it from 13g to 11g your scooter will have a little more torque but not much difference the only think I don't like when you go lower on 10g or 11g your scooter will rev higher and you will feel more vibration on the frame when you drive . Hi Dani yes you are completely right you will loose 5 to 8 mph on yor top speed placing lighter roller but your start up speed will be faster and your up hills will be better so at the end is your choice. Thank you for watching my video

it will only decrease if you put to light weight rollers in. On my scooter i got a higher topspeed with lighter weights cuz the engine didnt have the power on lower RPMs so when i put lighter weights in the RPM got higher and the engine got in its power range. If you understand. :-)

Hello man,i just change the rollers with 13 gr ( the old ones were busted 14 gr ) Like i said i have a black 125 scooter that looks like yours,buy it with 450 euro wich is a very good price.it looks nice it have only 4000 km.Now my question is when i buy it the inspection paper say it have 0 prolems and the guy said he just change the oil .all good i just drive it home. after about 500 km the scoot stop quick when i was riding at about 70 kmph pretty scary but when i stop and then rev the throtle again it goes again.when i come home i check the engine to see that the fuel vaccum hose was broken (it was broken since i bought it i think) but i was stupid and i said to myself it doesent matter, so i just fix a new hose and the engine never stop. BUT it doesnt start like before just right up in 1 sec with the electric start now it's start after 3,4 when i push the button and it makes a weird sound. can you say if i can fix this problem since my kick start its broken and i remove it Thanks man

Hi my friend everything can be fix my friend lets start from the easy things open your 1 air box and make sure your air filter is clean 2 remove your spark plug and make sure is clean and no cracks on the side of the ceramic if your spark plug is to dark replace it with new iridium spark plug better quality make sure when you the spark plug boot is tight on the sparkplug and number after this go for a test drive if you keep having problem I think you need a valve adjustment you have to open the motor head and tight your valve because I think your valves are not closing properly. Hello yes a exhaust from ebay will fit but make sure yo seach for gy6 150 cc and read the item description on ebay because 50 cc exhaust they look the same but the connection is smaller now all the exhaust on ebay or amazon the quality is no good the only one that last longer is the one that look original to the scooter ebay.to/2m1bN2w but sometime you never know you can find something like this ebay.to/2KZFXOD that look better but the curve on the pipe is no perfect and you have to work on it. Hi try to change the roller and see what different you can make I'm not sure the performance torque on a 125 cc you will have to remove and weight your scooter rollers with a small scale and see the size of your variator rollers you have at the moment.After you know your magic number of your rollers you can change them to a lower weight but not to low around 13 or 14 grams ==>( amzn.to/2mnnAHA ) but if you lose a little top speed after that modification you can place a larger carburetor or charge the main jet to a 119 or 122 main jet but if you change you gas flow you will have to change your air filter to the performance height flow to get more air to your carburetor. So the end of the story is every modification you make to your scooter is like a chain reaction if you change one thing to make your scooter running faster and better you have to change a lots of little things Ah ah ah Last but more difficult thing will be to change the rear gear but you will need a press to put the gear together but honestly I never done that ;-) Thank you for watching my video
