Hi. I just purchased a YN 622C TX and YN568 II mounted on a YN 622C. i can control everything using the YN 622C TX except the zoom on the YN 568 II. Is there any setting on the YN622C TX that im missing to control the Zoom on the 568 II? Help please! Thanks very much!

external speedlight control - flash function settings- manual settings - flash output level 1/8 - nothing changes on my flash. any suggestions? 6d with 622c flash 430exii on the pass though.

Great vid. I have a question though. well, now two. First do I need the 622C-TX if I want to do HSS with the 622's? I currently have a YN-560 TX and 3 YN 560III's that allow me to adjust the power remotely of each flash in 6 groups. What else would I gain if I had the 622C-TX? I only have one additional YN-560 and a YN-565EX which has TTL. I know I can find some pretty inexpensive TTL's, but considering the gear I have would I gain anything with just one TTL and the 622C-TX. ALSO, you mentioned weddings. Is it common to set up lights in the corners or something and just take pictures that way? I haven't shot but two weddings through a friend and we were pretty stealth. I'd really like to find a wedding photography course that teaches the range from getting the job, pricing in your area to lighting, sequence, and selling of prints, albums and framed portraits.

Does the manual setting change work with an older Canon 550ex flash? I can trigger my flashes, but I can't remotely change my flash power. I've tried in manual mode and ETTL, and neither seems to listen to the settings on the 622C TX.

It would be great if the Yongnuo could be set so that a channel would behave as though it where a dumb trigger. This would allow an endless amount of flashes with different in-flash settings to be dumb triggered from one channel. Though not an ideal solutions for using more than three different settings at least you would have two groups easily accessible on-camera.

So I have the YN560-II and an older Canon 460EX as well as the older RF-603C(ones with on/off on top) and I am wanting to purchase the 622 system, but want to make sure I buy the correct/best second Yungnuo flash. Can you recommend? Does the YN560-II with the 622C-TX allow for the ETTL to be utilized? Any information would help.
@KarimArsad10 жыл бұрын
The YN560II is NOT TTL, so you can trigger it manually, but you can't change any setting on it from the 622C-TX.

I'm using the same set up with a Canon 70d. The TX will turn the 622c on an off while a 580ex is on it but that is all it will do. When I try to adjust the TTL SETTINGS OR GO MANUAL the 622 red light blinks showing that its receiving a signal but is not making adjustments on the 622/580ex. Any feedback or solution is appreciated.
@tpaynephoto9 жыл бұрын
+robert guerra if you are using the 580ex and not the 580exii, you need to put the 580ex on TTL mode. Then, it will communicate to it and it will change the power output, but you will not see the changes on the back of the speedlight like you will with the exII version..hopefully that helps

I am having a problem getting mine to work with the YN622C Transmitter in TTL mode. I seem to have to always use a YN622C Receiver as well. Am I doing something wrong? I would like to have a few of these flashes, but what's the point if they don't work right on there own without using another receiver all the time.

+Rick Baker I will make a video covering that over the next few days hopefully by the first part of next week. hopefully, that will resolve your issues. Also I am trying to stay with Yongnuo products, but I would like to know if they make a transmitter that stands up on the hotshoe that will work with the yn685 flashes?. Does the YN560 xmitter work? I am reasonably new to flash photography and I would like to settle in on a kit that gives me everything I want.

+Rick Baker the 685 will work with the 560-tx. but it is essentially turned into a 560iii. there will be a new speedlight released soon, the 660.. it will be an upgraded version of the 560iv. if you'd like to learn more about off camera flash, join my Facebook group, facebook.com/groups/speedlightfundamentals

Great video. I have the Yongnuo 568EX II & YN622C - TX, with my Canon 6D and I can make it work in Manual mode on the flash & Camera. If I put it on ETTL mode it will not fire. But if I put the flash in M mode it will work fine and do HSS. How can I get it to work in ETTL mode? (Even if I put the camera in Auto and the flash in ETTL mode, it doesn't not fire) Any help you can offer is much appreciated. tpaynephoto

I will have to try to duplicate what you are doing. So, to be 100% sure of what you are saying.. If your 568exii is on a 622c trigger OFF camera, the 622-tx on the hot shoe, they are on the same channels, groups, etc.. when you change the setting on the appropriate group to ettl, you are unable to fire the speedlight?
@JDenim8810 жыл бұрын
tpaynephoto Correct. I tried to keep it simple. Same Channel, Group A, ETTL Mode on 568exII Flash on 622c, ETTL mode set on 622C-TX Controller on top of 6D hot shoe. And nothing. Not sure what I'm doing wrong. Thank you for getting back so quickly.

@PietrobonoFabio9 жыл бұрын
Farhaan Ahmad Bengah if you have nikon is impossible, you can use the commander in manual bat your flash are setting in ittl mode.
@tpaynephoto9 жыл бұрын
Fabio Pietrobono With nikon, you must keep the speedlights set to TTL. You can make adjustments manually on the controller. The controller will send the information to the receivers and communicate them to the speedlight as if it were a TTL reading. Canon and Nikon speedlights have different communication protocols so the 622 needs to basically fool the speedlight into thinking that it is on the camera still. That is why with nikon you will not see the changes on the speedlight itself. You can see the difference when you make those adjustments and take a photo.

tpaynephoto yep i know now. i used always in ttl infact but i want to try to understand why with canon was different... now i know. ;-)

I recently purchased two Yongnuo 568EX II flashes and have been trying to use them with the Youngnuo YN622-C TX controller on the hot shoe of my Canon Rebel T3i and the flash units mounted on the YN622-C Trigger Transceiver. While the flashes are firing, I'm having two issues: (1) I am not seeing and difference in the flash power in manual mode - whether I set it to full power (1/1) or minimum power (1/128) it completely blows out any image and is seemingly firing at full power; and (2) when I set the controller to ETTL mode the flash is firing but not registering at all in the image. The captured image is lit strictly by the ambient light. This second problem seems like a sync issue. In fact, taking a picture of the flash unit (at 1/60 - not High-speed sync) captures the image of the flash unit without showing the flash firing. Any help is appreciated.

+Ralph Somma try resetting the transceivers. To do that, turn them on, press and hold the gr and ch buttons. the LED on the back with flash red/green, you will see the lights on each group and channel light up.. then, the LED will go solid again. Hopefully, that will help. IF not, it is possible that you may need to update the firmware on the TX controller unit.

Thanks tpaynephoto. I tried resetting the receiver and just yesterday did a firmware upgrade on the TX controller (which does a rest as well). No change.
